Battle of the Also-Rans
If you're fretting that Bush-Kerry isn't exactly Lincoln-Douglas, at least it won't be as bad as this:

Michael Badnarik and David Cobb, the presidential candidates from the Libertarian and Green parties, will take questions from media, students and the public in an open forum the night of--and just feet from--the first televised "debate" between the two-party candidates. . . .

Unlike the scripted and staged exchange between the two-party candidates which will take place directly across Dixie Highway from the Holiday Inn Ballroom, the open format debate will allow for uncensored questions from the public and students and will represent a wide range of viewpoints on the critical issues facing our country.

The Badnarik/Cobb press release notes that "independent candidate Ralph Nader, who has been invited to participate in the open format debate, has not yet accepted the invitation." Geez, the guy changes the outcome of an election and suddenly he's too good for everyone else.

Another press release announces that Badnarik, whose campaign held anti-American rallies on Sept. 11, accepted the American Muslim Alliance's "Al-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz Malcolm X Award on behalf of the Libertarian, Green and Independent parties."

"...Badnarik, whose campaign held anti-American rallies on Sept. 11, accepted the American Muslim Alliance's "Al-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz Malcolm X Award..."

There are two reasons not to vote for Badnarik... not to mention the all important fact that he'll never win...

Yeah boy, the Libertarian Party really out did themselves with this fruit loop. I have to say that his anti-American rally on September 11th sure makes his "I'll blow up the UN building" comment look a bit tame, though.
