You know, conservative policy on:

Health care
jobs
foreign policy
education

Been waiting for the debate, but no one seems to know what their policies are. Not even their base.

Probably waiting to see who the nominee will be, for now they're too busy fighting among themselves to be bothered with the left.

Personally, I could not in good conscience defend the policies of either party at thi point in time...

They are under the impression that fear of the scary man in white house and setting the clock back to 2008 is all the policy they need.

Let's start with shrinking the size of a bloated and inefficient Federal Goverment. Then let's move on to reforming entitlements so they remain solvent and don't bury us in debt. An energy policy that isn't based on making fossil fuels so expensive that alternative sources of energy become economically viable would be a nice change. Getting rid of regulations that don't do what they were originally intended to do but DO make it more expensive for our businesses to compete in a world wide marketplace would help. Having an Attorney General who was more concerned with the safety of Americans and Mexicans and enforcing existing gun laws than using "Fast & Furious" to push stricter gun laws here in the US would be great. Maybe we could get some tort reform passed if the trial lawyers didn't have a bought and paid for Democrat sitting in the Oval Office. While we're at it perhaps we could actually work on lowering the cost of health care?

Basically...it would be SWELL if we could get someone in the White House that has a clue about how businesses operate and didn't view them as the "enemy" or an "ATM machine" to hit up for revenue to fund liberal causes.

Cut taxes on the rich, destroy Medicare/aid, bomb Iran--Brilliant! It's why we have a DEM here for the first time ever LOL! They're fecked,it's a total brainwashed house of cards...

rdean, I was looking through your past posts and threads and you are insincere in your request for a debate. I know what kind of childish insults await those who try. Great thread though, just really deep stuff. :clap2:

Conservative policy that is fiscal policy will always fail because it’s based on the idea that we can achieve a small federal government. All politicians crave power and influence. Once elected, the only way they can achieve those goals is to expand government. It makes no sense for a person to devote their lives to attaining a high governmental office for the purpose of lessening its importance. For example, if you have been appointed to the House Education and the Workforce Committee, are you doing to work toward dismantling the Dept. of Education? Certainly not because it’s not your best interest.

If a member of congress votes to cut programs that affect his constituents, he runs the risk of losing his seat in the next election. So congress cuts programs that have little impact on the people and thus have little impact on the budget.

Small government is a popular idea but it's just not doable. Making big government work better is not a very popular idea, but in reality it is the only solution to our financial problems.

Why debate a deranged Obama-Bot? That would be a serious exercise in futility. Better things to do. Like watching paint dry or something.

They have, as far as I can remember, only two goals:

deregulate wall st & industrial polluters
cut taxes for the same.

Denocrats are perfect and have all the answers, even if you're not asking the questions.

Republicans are evil and they suck.

Teabaggers are racists.

End debate...

Of course, that door has a tendency swings both ways...

An American Century

Our country today faces a bewildering array of threats and opportunities. As president, Mitt Romney will safeguard America and secure our country’s interests and most cherished ideals. The unifying thread of his national security strategy is American strength. When America is strong, the world is safer. It is only American power—conceived in the broadest terms—that can provide the foundation for an international system that ensures the security and prosperity of the United States and our friends and allies.

A Romney foreign policy will proceed with clarity and resolve. Our friends and allies will not have doubts about where we stand and what we will do to safeguard our interests and theirs. Neither will our rivals, competitors, and adversaries. The best ally world peace has ever known is a strong America. The “last best hope of earth” was what Abraham Lincoln called our country. Mitt Romney believes in fulfilling the promise of Lincoln’s words and will defend America abroad in word and in deed.

Overview

Mitt Romney believes that the long-term strategy for getting America’s economy back on track is ensuring a world class education for American students. Global competitiveness begins in the classroom. In order to achieve this goal, students must have the skills to succeed in the workforce, ensuring that the promise of opportunity in this country remains strong.

As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt saw what states can do with a culture of high expectations, accountability for results, and increased parental choice. During the third year of his term, the state’s fourth and eighth grade students ranked first in the nation in both reading and math. Massachusetts was the first state to achieve this goal and has remained the nation’s educational leader to this day. Mitt’s experience in Massachusetts reinforced the importance of innovating and duplicating, taking the best ideas from states that are succeeding and replicating them across the country.

Nice try, but you're responding to a deranged programmed Obama-Bot. So don't get your expectations up for a rational reply. It aint gonna happen. But good effort though. :)
