Where's the "CHANGE" Obama?

Where's the "CHANGE" Obama?

The first day of Obama's first budget, unemployment was 10.1%. Now it's 9.4. And this was after Republicans moved millions of jobs to China.

What the fuck has Obama done so far?

This second is the only other list I know of what Obama has done for the good of people and not just the corporate elite.... That is all good....

What the heck has Obama done so far?
What the heck has Obama done so far?

Since coming into office on January 21, 2009, President Barack Obama has:

1. Signed an Executive Order on government contracting to fight waste and abuse.

2. Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, restoring basic protections against pay discrimination for women and other workers.

3. Renewed dialogue with NATO and other allies and partners on strategic issues.

4. Announced a plan to responsibly end the war in Iraq.

5. Provided funding to families of fallen soldiers have expenses covered to be on hand when the body arrives at Dover AFB.

6. Ended media blackout on war casualties and the return of fallen soldiers to Dover AFB.

7. Signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which has created 2.1 million jobs (as of 12/31/09).

8. Launched Recovery.gov to track spending from the Recovery Act, an unprecedented step to provide transparency and accountability through technology.

9. Announced the "Making Home Affordable" home refinancing plan.

10. Launched a $15 billion plan to boost lending to small businesses.

However, what makes things difficult for people to swallow is the bad that is being done at the same time, and this is were the division and derision comes into play...for example...

The internet didn't collapse, but the dot-com "bubble" sure did. You know why??? Because they used the same STUPID PRINCIPLES that liberal progressives are using in figuring out how much money you THINK you will make if you raise the taxes on the so-called rich. Progressives figure life will just go on like normal, after they "bilk" the rich out of what they(and the rest of their greedy bunch) feel is a perfectly acceptable taxing "scheme". These dot-coms had the same ideas, and they engaged in alot of highly questionable practices while "living large", figuring the people($$$"s) would just "keep on rolling in" which it didn't. Hence we had the "bust". This is the exact same mentality the progressive idiots are using in figuring how much they all will take in. Just like the dot-com thing, THEY WILL FAIL. You can't "force" the rich to keep on subsidizing their "schemes", no matter what kind of legislation or regulations they "dream up" or manage to get "passed". This is because they cannot "force" these businesses to stay open just because they say it will be so, unless we convert to communism or a "dictatorship"-then they could "order" everyone to work as THEY see fit-but we all know this aint happening. The so-called "rich" WILL SHUT DOWN-IT'S COMMON SENSE. It will result in the same thing that is happening with the unemployment(that the idiots just further extended)-do you really think peope will go get a job(making less) when they can sit at home(and recieve more)? And the dumb-azz's just extended their time they CAN sit at home(and make more $$$'s). This is the kind of (lame-brained)thinking that has failed EVERY TIME it has been tried.

Don't forget that Bush took a surplus that was created by a DEMOCRAT and he put the country way back into the RED. And he didn't even improve the economy in the process. Bush took the economy and flushed it. And then conservative freaks have the audacity to say that President Obama is to blame for the economic mess.

Yeah right!

Bush stood by and watched as a bunch of low-life progressive politicians pissed the surplus away(that WAS created as a result of this dot-com bubble we just discussed) with programs like fannie and freddie along with entitlement programs for everything under the sun. But it gets even better-as a result of the "bad paper" created(from forcing these "bad" loans)the mortgage industry had to "kick the can(the "bad paper") on down the road". They had NO CHOICE-the STUPID GOVT kept forcing these "BAD" loans. When questioned by Bush, and many others, the progressives stood up and BLATANLY LIED-you know this, so do I, and so does everyone else. This is what started/caused the recession. You really look STUPID trying to deny this. Mainstream America has finally figured all this out, which was illustrated in the elections leading up to, and then undeniably in the trouncing your party recieved Nov 2., and from the looks of things 2012 is going to be a REPEAT or even BIGGER...

We are going to fix this, not with any help from the progressive side, and despite what they all will do to sabotage it. They don't have to thank us-we aren't doing it for them. At this point we don't really care what happens to them-THEY ARE ALONG FOR THE RIDE NOW. Just watch-mainstream America is about ready to rise up and smack the progressives down-HARD. Just look at what's happened to this forum-there used to be quite a few dems here...where have they gone??? Why did they "cut-n-run". Now we're left with a couple of half-wits(gumby and pokey types) that together don't make whole liberal-if you could combine their brains and make this into fuel, there wouldn't be enough to power an ant's go-cart half-way around a BB...

Unemployment ( according to the way the US government creatively calculates) is twice what it was 10 years ago.
The alleged 2.1 million jobs created by the Reinvestment Act were( yes past tense because those jobs no longer exist because the funding ran out) public sector jobs that would have been eliminated due to budget cuts.
Proof that the Recovery Act is bullshit, Camden NJ just laid off HALF of it's former 320 officer police force....Yes, a City of 80,000 mostly poor and lower middle class people has just one officer for every 500 residents. And if there are two shifts per day, cut that in half...Meaning there are just 80 police officers patrolling the city at any one time. Camden is one of the FBI's most dangerous cities in the US. So where is Obama on this? Why hasn't Recovery money or Stimulus money been pumped into places such as Camden? Simple....Because the effect has been made. The people have been bamboozled into believing Obama has done something brilliant. And that's all that matters. Style over substance....Nobody cares now. Obama hasmoved onto the next thing.
Now that he's moved his leadership staff to Chicago to prepare for his re-election campaign, we'll be getting even ore symbolic style over substance from this guy.

One things for sure, he set the black community back 100 years by his pathetic tenure in office. This dope-in-chief has made sure no black man will get elected president for at least another 10 decades...Woohooo!!!!

I certainly disagree with the WooHoo. That's why I thought it was so important for Obama to be a success. Now we have Herman Cain, I hope that is right, coming to bat with a great resume. It isn't fair to him.

"The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission gave shareholders the right to weigh in on pay packages for top executives to increase scrutiny of compensation practices blamed for fueling Wall Street risk-taking.

SEC commissioners voted 3-2 today to enact the say-on-pay measure that will subject compen$ation plan$ to non-binding shareholder votes as often as once a year. The proposal is part of the agency’s rulemaking under the Dodd-Frank Act.

Dodd-Frank, the regulatory overhaul enacted in response to the 2008 credit crisis, directed the SEC to let investors vote their views on executive pay amid public furor over incentives that rewarded the kind of risky trading that toppled Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and Bear Stearns Cos.

The SEC amended the rule proposed in October to “specify that a say-on-pay vote is required at least once every three years, beginning with the first annual shareholders’ meeting taking place on or after Jan. 21,” Chairman Mary Schapiro said in comments prepared for the meeting. The rule will also require companies to disclose whether the votes are binding and how they have considered the results of previous votes, she said.

The rule will also require enhanced disclosure on so-called golden parachute payments for executives whose companies are acquired, subjecting them to shareholder advisory votes along with the takeover agreements."

In order for an economy to work and run smoothly the money must have a constant circular flow within our communities.... Therefore, we have to have jobs to make this happen so we can buy what we produce on a consistent basis.... Like we use to do before the progressive dirtbag subversives in our gov't opened up our borders and economy to foreign corporate powers...our enemies....
If we take out our private sector jobs the money no longer circulates, like a tire with a hole in it and the air goes out in one direction, we will go flat....

The money, no matter how much of it the rat SOB's in Washington print, goes in one direction...UP! and OUT! GlOBAL!

The global economy is a fraud! There is no global community...only the rich and the poor....

"General Motors Co has withdrawn its application for $14 billion in subsidized loans from the U.S. Department of Energy, saying it has the financial strength to fund investment in more fuel-efficient and electric vehicles on its own.

The move could provide a public-relations boost to GM, which has struggled to distance itself from the controversy of a $50 billion bailout and the stigma of having become "Government Motors" after being restructured in bankruptcy.

GM had initially seen the Department of Energy loan program as a potential source of financing that could stave off bankruptcy in 2008.

The automaker submitted its application for a low-interest loan under the program in October 2009, near the depth of the sharp downturn in U.S. auto sales.

"This decision is based on our confidence in GM's overall progress and strong, global business performance," Ed Welburn, GM design chief, said in a speech at the Washington auto show.

Shares of GM gained just over 1 percent to $38.33 in morning trade on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock has gained 16 percent since its November initial public offering."

I had a good line on this occurring. Public sector unions have been responsible for the fleecing of taxpayers for far too long. Civil service protections for government workers created a system where a worker would have to commit a felony to be fired. Meanwhile salaries for public sector union represented workers spun out of control.
It comes as no surprise that big union states such as NY,NJ, IL and CA have the highest taxes in the nations but also are states with the largest debt.
The gravy train has ground to a halt.
No more public sector unions......OVER!
Oh, just 7% of private sector workers are represented by labor organizations. That number continues to decline. Good.

Yep, when skilled labor is finally gone, that will stop progress, and we can go back to riding horses and reading by candle light. So when will you start advocating the illegal mexicans take over government positions for a few peso a day?

Oh puuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Spare me the "the only skilled workers are union" bullshit..Cry me a fucking river.
Not one of you union thugs will respond to the obvious...that is how do you explain the fact that just 7% of private sector workers are union members and about 20% of public workers the same?.....Your union whining indicates that 93% of the private sector cannot do a thing?
Look, this is all about greed on the part of unions. Unions which are businesses and as such exist to turn a profit.
This nonsense of poverty wages and no benefits and the other union talking points is a bunch of crap...
Unions are no longer needed nor wanted.
It's high time the power public worker unions have held over taxpayers comes to an end.
Genius.....Union does not equate to skilled. There is no difference other than the union worker is paid far above market rate for similar work. Unions create an artificially expensive and as we have seen, unaffordable labor market.
The days of unions having the ability to coerce states and cities into paying ridiculous wages and benefits are over. It is high time the wages of the servers are brought in line with those who workers are employed to serve.

That is why we are on the verge of collapse.... Progressive situational ethics {In order for me to succeed you must lose, others must be harmed. I must set aside my emotions and values to become sociopapthically self-interested.} at their best within the false facade of global fascist/communist corporate elitist governance...

Capitalism worked well within our own borders with its Judeo-Christion ethics and moral code until the elitist progressives used their meniacal subterfuge to gain access to our gov't and institutions opening up our borders to a foreign/domestic invaision and assult against our businesses and the foundations of our Republic and Constitution....

If the right has answers, why don't they share?

Just kidding. They have no answers. They caused the problem.

"The U.S. manufacturing sector grew at its fastest pace in nearly seven years in January and signs of inflation jumped more than expected as the world's biggest economy gained traction.

The Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing survey -- which came as U.S. corporations announced strong profits and sales -- also showed employers were thinking about ramping up hiring, one of the weak spots of the recovery so far.

The U.S. manufacturing sector has expanded for the last 18 months, helping a broad recovery in corporate profits.

More than 70 percent of S&P 500 companies that have reported earnings for the last quarter have exceeded Wall Street's expectations.

United Parcel Service Inc, seen as a barometer of the economy, on Tuesday beat estimates and forecast record profits for 2011.

There are signs that the recovery is spreading into the small business sector. Borrowing by small companies jumped for a fifth straight month in December, according to the Thomson Reuters/PayNet Small Business Lending Index.

The most recent gross domestic product growth figures showed the U.S. economy gathered speed in the fourth quarter to regain its pre-recession output peak with a big gain in consumer spending and strong exports.

The economy grew at a 3.2 percent annual rate in the final three months of 2010 after expanding at a 2.6 percent pace in the third quarter, the Commerce Department said on Friday."

"U.S. stocks climbed on Tuesday as the market's focus shifted to signs of economic strength and away from geopolitical concerns.

Investors seemed less jittery about the turmoil in Egypt as major stock indices rose more than 1 percent. The CBOE Volatility Index. Wall Street's so-called fear gauge, dropped for a second day, falling more than 10 percent.

"Manufacturing seems to clearly be an area of strength, and it is the combination of manufacturing picking up and the consumer picking up, that's most of the economy." said Eric Kuby, chief investment officer at North Star Investment Management Corp in Chicago.

United Parcel Service Inc rose 4.4 percent to $74.76 after profit as the world's largest package delivery group beat estimates and it forecast record-high earnings in 2011."

How will NY control all the criminal unemployed, or the immigrants they keep letting in and giving free stuff to???

The public sector unions should of stood up with the private sector the minute Mr. Peanut Head Carter started allowing the multinational corporate downsizing of the American private sector workforce....

Private Sector Jobs Gains Beat Forecasts

"U.S. private employers added more jobs than expected in January, the 12th consecutive month that companies took on staff, adding to hopes that the weak American labor market is slowly improving.

The private sector added 187,000 jobs in January, compared with a downwardly revised 247,000 jobs in December, a report by payrolls processor ADP Employer Services showed on Wednesday.

The ADP figures come ahead of the government's more comprehensive January labor market report on Friday, which includes both public and private sector employment.

But ADP figures for December -- both initial and revised -- turned out to be much stronger than the government report showed, adding to doubts about the reliability of ADP as a predictor of payrolls.

Still, he said, "it's 12 months in a row that ADP showed job gains. That's the longest stretch since 2006 to 2007. Companies are cut to the bone. You are not going to see any more layoffs."
