THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO IL HAS CONTINUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR NORTHEAST ILLINOIS EAST OF KANE COUNTY ILLINOIS AND
KANKAKEE COUNTY AND NORTH. THIS WARNING HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 4 AM CST
SUNDAY MORNING.

WE EXPECT PERIODS OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW THROUGH THE REST OF THIS THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...THERE MAY BE 2 TO 3 MORE INCHES OF ADDITIONAL
SNOW IN ILLINOIS...ESPECIALLY AREAS CLOSEST TO LAKE MICHIGAN.

THERE COULD BE TOTAL STORM SNOWFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 12 INCHES IN LAKE
AND PORTER COUNTIES IN INDIANA BY MIDNIGHT. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

IN ADDITION THE WIND WILL BE FROM THE NORTHEAST TO NORTH AT 20 TO 30
MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH. THIS WILL PRODUCE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW. THE VISIBILITY MAY IN BRIEF TIMES DROP TO ONE QUARTER
OF A MILE.

TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. IF YOU ARE
TRAVELING USE VERY EXTREME CAUTION.

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
EXPECTED TO OCCUR. HEAVY SNOW OR ICE ARE FORECAST TO ACCUMULATE IN
THE WARNED AREA...WHICH WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
THOSE WITH TRAVEL PLANS IN THE WARNED AREA ARE ADVISED TO CHOOSE AN
ALTERNATE ROUTE. IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE...USE EXTREME CAUTION IF

Hard to tell anymore. Last I could count, 17". Now it's blowing around so whatever. I'm staying in.

I went with Musicman to work. I also came back home. The roads are treacherous.! Few were at the venue and I doubt if there will be many mmore who show up. I just have to venture back out and pick him up. Took me about 25-30 minutes to get home...usually about 12 minutes. I'll give myself about an hour being it'll be around 2am.

Here, too. Snow is swirlling & drifting, cuts right thru you. And the temp is QUITE low, too. Good thing tho'. It's suppose to be 40 Wednesday. I'll celebrate, if I haven't frozen to death by then.
