How much would elimination of those actually save the government, Pat?

I think Homeland Security's budget dwarfs the other five combined, doesn't it?

The issue of government isn't just taxation, but interference in people's live, or favors for the politically connected - that was the thrust of the OP.

This is a good question. Since the moratorium on earmarks in 2009, the allocations appear to be low. That being said, I always think this is fat to trim in earmarks.

What to do with close to a million meatheads with zero skills usable in the public sector ? Load them up and sick them on murkas vast array of gangs.
