We were sold on the Iraq invasion because Feith and Neocon Central created fake documents regarding a contrived nuclear program that Saddam has supposedly initiated. All this was contrived to sell an illegal invasion of Iraq.
The people who created these false documents should be tried under international and U.S. law as the African radio anouncers were who were cheering on genocidal slaughter of opposing tribesmen.
The "smoking gun being a mushroom cloud" line will go down in history as the second most stupid lie about the Iraq War.
The stupidest lie belongs to Bush when he said, and I am not joking about this, that Saddam was building a drone air force to launch from ships anchored off the U.S. coast to attack the America with chemical weapons.
