No one knows. All the brains that study this stuff can do is hypothesize.

Funny thing about that though, there is no possible way life could have survived earths formative years when it was nothing more than a floating ball of molten elements with no atmosphere. Neither can living matter survive in outer space. The radiation will kill it.

So how did it get here? Yup... that's the million dollar question. I think I'll let God take this one...
