"We estimate that the American Jobs Act (AJA), if enacted, would give a significant boost to GDP and employment over the near-term.

The various tax cuts aimed at raising workers’ after-tax income and encouraging hiring and investing, combined with the spending increases aimed at maintaining state & local employment and funding infrastructure modernization, would:
Boost the level of GDP by 1.3% by the end of 2012, and by 0.2% by the end of 2013.
Raise nonfarm establishment employment by 1.3 million by the end of 2012 and 0.8 million by the end of 2013, relative to the baseline."

Macroadvisers: American Jobs Act: A Significant Boost to GDP and Employment

Of course AJA was blocked in the Congress by Republicans, who now blame Obama for the lack of jobs.

Try again....It WAS NOT blocked in congress by the Republicans.

Where are the jobs you say? They'll become available on January 21, 2013 when we start working on the massive job of cleaning up Obama's fucking mess.

How Many American Jobs Did Your Senator Vote Against?
Yesterday evening, every single Republican senator and two Democrats — Sens. Ben Nelson (NE) and Jon Tester (MT) — voted against taking up the president’s jobs plan. Even though the plan enjoyed the support of 51 senators — a majority — it failed to advance because of the GOP’s filibuster.

In fact, it will go a long way toward reducing the burden of government on all of us.

I enjoy how your side likes to make the claim that students who are going to college are screwed because they have tens of thousands of dollars of debt before they even get their first job.

You Democrats have placed (without even asking them) hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt on people who have not even been born yet.

They will have to work 8 to 9 months of every year to pay for your excess and greed.

Ever wonder how much economic stimulus would be generated if they didn't have to pay that money to a purely for profit entity that returns less than 5 cents on every dollar?

Yeah....I think that cutting government will create A fucking LOT of jobs.

If you're mentally ill. Take a look at Clinton's quote about 2/3's of all the jobs created in the past 52 years were under democrats which was found to be completely true.

Democrats = job creation

Republicans = shipping jobs to china

PolitiFact | Bill Clinton says Democratic presidents top Republican presidents in job creation

You really don't have a clue as to input versus output, do you?

Do you know why it is that an electric car cannot use an alternator to keep its battery charged while in operation?

Hello?

Why don't you answer My question?

The jobs are in the oil and gas sectors. They can't hire fast enough. Drilling activity is pouring millions of $ into local economies. Yet, our President chooses to trash talk the industry calling for an end to what he erroniously calls "subsidies". Oh- and his budget contains at a minimum $40 billion in taxes on that industry... as a reward.

Stephen Moore writes in the Wall Street Journal:

If you want to understand better why so many states — from New York to Wisconsin to California — are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, consider this depressing statistic: Today in America there are nearly twice as many people working for the government (22.5 million) than in all of manufacturing (11.5 million). This is an almost exact reversal of the situation in 1960, when there were 15 million workers in manufacturing and 8.7 million collecting a paycheck from the government.

Yes. He [Obama] wishes to remove the energy from the system that sustains the government. And cannot understand why his ROI is a negative number.

Idiot! I am a certified Electronics Technician. I consider your question totally stupit.
Yes stupit it does not even merit stupid.

So, what does that tell you?

Consider this. A Return on Investment means that for X amount of worth or effort you place into a system, you get Y amount back in return.

So, a one percent return would be X=0.01Y. This is a growing system.

Government spends 1000Y for X input.....X=(-1000)Y...

Tell Me again how your little scenario of canceling an aircraft carrier affects government jobs....
