Where Are The Jobs? No Job Bill Yet.

The SIZE of any government is directly related to how many people work for the government (directly or indirectly).

To reduce the SIZE of any government, you have to reduce the number of people working for that government...

...you have to eliminate jobs, you have to put people out of work.

Smaller government means fewer jobs, period. If smaller government is a good thing, then eliminating government and government connected jobs is a good thing.

No smaller government means that work can be contracted out to private firms thereby creating jobs that cost us, the taxpayers less, thereby leaving us, the taxpayers, with more of our own money.

That's utter nonsense. You're saying that the conservatives want to eliminate the Department of Education, but then use the funds to pay private sector people to do the same jobs?

lolololololol

Another fool opend his mouth and removed all doubt.

damn

look here's a hint;

Killing big 0 care would have created jobs b/c biz big and small would have been free to hire more people b/c they know the cost of doing biz didn't go up.

But the dims killed it in the Senate, and dumbasses like you expect some law to come down from on high and cure your stewpidity, I mean create jobs just b/c they passed yet another bill.

Killing big 0 care would have created jobs

because "govt can't create jobs" :cuckoo:

So you are a comedian. whodathunkit.

reduce the size, lowers the cost, lower the cost, lower the debt, lower the debt, increase the value of the dollar, increase the value of the dollar, increase buying, increase buying, biz needs to hire, biz hires, lower unemployment.

but I've said this to you before. You simply are to simplistic to get it through you thick head.

We have increased debt to the point we will soon not be able to pay intrest on our loans.

we've said that to you, but you refuse to learn.

Once we can't make those payments, there will be real misery. These challenging times will be the good ol' days.

That's been said to you, time and time again. But it won't sink in this time either.

forget it. Lets just spend until there is nothing.

Don't change the subject. The subject was jobs. If you make massive cuts in government spending,

you will eliminate jobs. You will eliminate jobs and you will NOT magically create new jobs somewhere else, because the government spending is borrowed money.

Just to get rid of the deficit you will have to eliminate tens of thousands of jobs, not only in government, but in the private sector in companies that do business all or in part with the government.

The issue here is not the merits of eliminating of the deficit, or reducing the size of government.

The issue here is those who are PRETENDING that such an austerity program could be done without SACRIFICE, particularly in the area of jobs.

You and those like you think that government is the only way things can be done by people... that it is the almighty government that is ONLY one who can do it for anyone... that citizens and individuals or gorups of individuals cannot do it for themselves....

Utterly fucking ridiculous...

When government stops doing something (many things it is not supposed to do), and if there is a demand for it, enterprise, individuals, and businesses will scurry to fill the need/want.... it does not just disappear and people will not just sit there drooling with their thumbs up their asses, starring blankly into space... we are not helpless without the ever extending tentacles of government

Well... maybe those who are like you are

You should learn to read.

President Obama pivots to jobs as key theme

President Barack Obama on Friday made his promised hard pivot to jobs, following up the morning’s news about a 10 percent unemployment rate by announcing $2.3 billion in tax credits for clean-energy jobs.

“We have to continue to work every single day to get our economy moving again. For most Americans, for me, that means jobs,” Obama said.

“The job losses for the last quarter of 2009 were one-tenth of what we were experiencing the first quarter,” the president said. “The Recovery Act has been a major force in breaking the trajectory of this recession.”

The White House said that 183 projects in 43 states will create “tens of thousands of high quality clean energy jobs.” And the administration promised that the result of the new money would be domestic manufacturing of advanced clean energy technologies including solar, wind and efficiency and energy management technologies.

High Speed Rail is hardly a "Boodoggle". Same thing was said about B.A.R.T.( Bay Area Rapid Transit) in The SF Bay Area, yet it continues to deliver communters from as far away as Pleasanton and Tracy to Downtown Oakland, Downtown San Francisco and Downtown San Jose.

thats not what they planned for, as you sate they alreqady deliver these people, getting them there a half hour faster will not sky rocket the ridership.

the big selling point was getting people on rail and off of planes, that why the plan they sold the bond measure on spoke to; the SF to Anaheim/ LA line in particular...hello....

Me, I don't mind one bite. We see how they are failing to deliver. President Obama leads all Repug contenders by double digits, and his poll number's are higher than ever.

uh huh....means squat its feb 2011, hello.......and thats because like you these folks prefer to ignore the last 2 years and are sheeple. when 12 rolls around and we are north of 8.% unemployment we'll see how strong your faith is then....

The wingnut dupes voted for their Tea-liban candidates who promised "JOBS ARE JOB #1". Now, they don't want to admit they were duped, so the wingnuts are back to "govt can't create jobs" and blaming Obama

Jobs bills don't work.

Does anyone remember all those "shovel ready" stimulus projects that didn't do shit for the unemployment rate?

And the POTUS having to admit there was no such thing?

No such thing? That's funny, because I remember driving on roads under construction in 2009 that had signs along them saying the work was being paid for by funds from the stimulus bill.

The Repugs promised to work on Job Creation First, focus like a laser beam as St. John of Orange said.

No Jobs. The Repugs have been engaged in a collective game of shooting themselves in the foot.

For the last time? The new House has been in session for 2 months, and we didn't arrive here overnight. And Obama is going to thwart anything they do anyway and continue to drive this nation further into the poorhouse.

Clear enough?

Aww, poor baby!! Is big bad Obama going to ruin your little tea tantrums?

Wingnuts believe that "making job creation a priority" means "we're going to start with abortion because two months is enough for abortion, but not enough for jobs":cuckoo:

Jobs bills don't work.

Does anyone remember all those "shovel ready" stimulus projects that didn't do shit for the unemployment rate?

they worked during the great depression.
And we still benefit from many of the things that were made by them.

You couldn't get a dam project past the fucking EPA today though could you?

And in case you haven't checked it's no longer the 1930s. We really have all the roads we can use right now the fact that the government let them fall apart even though they collect billions in taxes every year specifically for roads doesn't tell you that the fucking government can't do anything right then I don't know what does.

And what so called shovel ready project in the trillion dollar stimulus lowered the unemployment rate?

Where did I mention the dept of education, fucknut?

You disband the department of education and let the states take care of education as they did when we actually used to produce students who were vastly superior to the ones we produce today.

They didn't reduce it so much as helped keeping the numbers from growing. The stimulus money sent to state coffers kept massive layoffs from happening.

Hey... you're the one who states that cutting government inherently hurts the job situation.... when in fact, it does not inherently do so....

You should learn to actually understand how the real world works, instead of having the ignorant blind faith that government knows better and that government is the only way

It's a shame really. If they had passed that jobs bill they could take credit for the dropping unemployment rate

The way it stands now....Obama will get all the credit

credit for what? an illusion?

I know ...it sucks doesn't it?

I know you wanted unemployment numbers to stay double digit, but this stupid drop is happening and since the Republicans can't point to anything they did, freak'n Obama is going to take all the credit

Man is just plain lucky isn't he? Everything happens by chance and Obama gets all the credit

when you decide to make sense again, let know....your 'post' is unintelligible...

we've been waiting 2 years,so i assume you stand inline as a tard, when do you think they'll come? oh wait- supra majority? check. 1.3 trillion dollars allocated/spent? check.....lowest labor force participation rate in decades? check.....its a bitch when reality catches up to fantasy eh? when you and the rest of the sheeple swallow that FACT(s), you won't be trying to pawn off this weak crap.

Two Years?

Keep in mind, George Bush spent eight years and $5 trillion to create 1.1 million jobs. Tinkle down is not easy. First ya gotta pay yourself, then ya hide away cash for a rainy day, then ya get low cost labor in India and China and if anything is left....ya tinkle it down to the American workers

It just takes a little patience

Better roads are wasteful? Most sane people would disagree with you.
