All we have to do is stop Caring whether or not what we do is, Right, or Practical, or Efficient, and instead just make sure things get done, not matter how wrong. In the name of Compromise!!!

It's pretty hard to not care about who is right and who is wrong, and come to a compromise. When one side thinks the solution is to Print, and Borrow, and Tax, and Spend even more. While the other side wants to Cut spending.

It is why I pound both sides of the argument in almost all cases. One of my favorite shows in the history of TV was "The West Wing." One of the quotes I remember most was when Bartlet decided to accept a Congressional Censure:

No one in government takes responsibility for anything anymore. We foster, we obfuscate, we rationalize. "Everybody does it." That's what we say. So we come to occupy a moral safe house where everyone's to blame so no one's guilty.

Half the country enslaved in Burkas. "All legislation based on Islam" per their Republican supported constitution. And they call that massive failure, a "success".

For six straight years Republicans held both houses, the presidency and had a majority in the Supreme Court. Six straight years of scandal, failure, economic meltdown, lies and war. Just look at what they did to the Justice Department. Firing good lawyers, in some cases Republicans and replacing them with Bible school graduates. Then you had scientists publicly outing the administration, saying that they were being threatened unless they changed their data to parallel administration policy.

Any president besides Obama would have brought up charges. He didn't want to be perceived as the "angry black man" and really wanted to do what's best for the country. Fat lot of good it did him. Trying to work with that racist, intellectually brankrupt political party. And now, they are in a position to do more damage than anyone thought possible. What ever happened to "jobs jobs jobs"?
