When rules "clarifications" make things seem more murky ...

what is the proper procedure for posters to follow?

On a more serious note. ( I hate it when I have to do that)

I'd suggest a mod PM versus public. Hopefully it is made more clear to you and the mods can add or edit the rule so we can benefit as well.

On the Open Boards, "****" is only allowed in the "Flame Zone", that doesn't include the "Rubber Room". That's why it is important for Moderators to screen Threads moved out of the "Flame Zone for use of the word "****", before moving them. Rep comments would be in violation of the rule. Visitor Messages would be in Violation of the Rule. PM's would Not be. PM's are exempt from most Rules.

Man, that sucks ass! Because anytime you use the C-word, it makes more of an impact than dropping the F-bomb!

Aw, the power of the english language.

Given the rules Intense, when you moving this to the flame zone then? lol

Unless mods are immune from the word when used in an explanation on the open board...

Question:

why would it be against the rules in a rep comment?

Because the rep comments are not a PM and can be used on the open board.

So wouldn't the person posting the rep comment... be the one "posting" the c-word and the sender of said rep?

Didn't the one who posted the c word in a rep comment come first? A rep comment is just like a regular post...

Is it really?

The only person who can "post" it and make it public is the recipient.... the sender sent it in a way that the only person to see it IS recipient. (unless you mods are looking that is)

so again... isn't it the person "posting" the rep comment in public the one posting the c word? They do, after all, have the ability to CXXX it out.
