When does the mainstream democrat admit, Obama has failed?

Well, you can go on if you wish. But you still haven't posted what he failed at.

Failed to close GITMO
failed to remove the Patriot Act
failed to lower UE
Failed to bring jobs back
Failed to control the debt

These are common knowledge. Why would you ignore them?

1. he should have closed gitmo... but that's not something the right is all cranky about. in fact, they should be kissing his butt for caving to them...
2. same answer
3. yeah, well that's hard to do when you're downsizing government jobs and undermining the recovery
4. same answer
5. he didn't promise to control the debt... that's for righties...

so what you're saying is that you don't like him, so it doesn't matter if he's on the left or right of an issue.

now...here's failure... if he were pushing rightwingnut social agenda trash... or if he were picking hack justices like thomas.

so i'll pass.... until the right offers someone who wouldn't make me lose my lunch.

1. He wanted to close GITMO but not with an executive order. And looking at many of the cases, they would be impossible to try in civilian court because of torture and other improper legal procedures that were employed (Restricting Habeas, Restricted access to legal council, Failure to inform prisoners of their rights, etc). That and Congress put up a law that made it impossible to try any GITMO prisoner in civilian court. A very tough situation.

2. He really dropped the ball there. That should have been vetoed.

3. In October..before any of his stimulus was disbursed, UE was at 10.0. It's at 9.1 now. So that's incorrect. Even Romney acknowledges that the President has been sucessful at this but that it's moving far to slow. I agree. And it's because President Obama has "listened" to his Republican opponents. He really has to come to realize..that at this point a poor economy favors them getting control of the white house. And his Republican opponents put that as their number 1 priority. Mitch Mcconnell pointed that out.

4. Some jobs are gone forever. Thanks to the Bush administration which changed overtime rules and provided a tax holiday for overseas profits.

5. The debt exploded because of the Bush administration. President Obama would have had to roll back the Tax cuts, eliminated the Department of Homeland Security, immediately have stopped two wars, vetoed TARP and the GM bailout, and roll backed the Medicare drug benefit to have any effect on the debt that was noticable. All of which would have been radical..and would have "killed the patient"..which is what Republicans want anyway..so they can get back into power..to finish the job. That job being..kill government...and privatize it.

OMG - "hack justices like Thomas"?!?!? LMAO!!! Barack Hussein appointed radical nut-job Sonia Sotomayor and radical idiot Elaina Kagen, who wasn't even a judge!!!! God Almighty, if I were tyring to defend Barack Hussein, the last thing I would bring up is judges appointed. Sotomayor actually said that judges make law from the bench. Kagen is a troll who has never been a judge, doesn't know the law, but will push a radical Communist/Socialist agenda.

Justice Thomas is a fascist hack judge. His fascist wife is a tea partier..and has said publically she's got special access to a supreme court justice. I can't think of better example of cronyism. And the Fascist Theocrat, George Walker, tried to appoint another hack, Harriet Meirs. Alito..who was the second choice..is basically a rube and a yes man who doesn't have the chops for the Supreme Court justice.

Actually....looking at your responses to his five points....all he did was answer the question of what 5 things has he failed at and you accuse him as one that just doesnt like Obama.......but the truth is, you have proved that in your eyes, anything he does that is not good, is someone elses fault......you are quick to give Mr. Obama a pass on everything.

So it is not that TT doesnt like Obama.....instead it is you that allows your admiration for the man to cloud your senitments of his performance.

I never trusted obama, ever.

I lived in Il and knew that no pol that learned how to be a pol there should be Pres. The corruption is just too too deep.

Aside from that, the question was what he has failed at.

I listed them.

And yes, he wanted to control the debt. As Sen Obama he voted against the debt ceiling, and against the war based, partially, on cost.

He's failed on all important issues for the left except HC.

Because he hasn't "failed". Even Romney had to walk back his remarks. Then went with "failed" again. Then walked it back..and so on ..and so on..

Really?

You were the first to come to mind as some on the left that have stated he'd failed.

I even recall you listing some things that pissed you off about him.

You're information is 100% FALSE on #3. When Barack Hussein took office, unemployment was at 8%. It has climbed to over 9% and stayed there since his stimulus package which bankrupted America. Unemployment went up after his stimulus. Just another sign of his failure.

And in case any Barack Hussein lovers wanted one more fact - check out this nifty headline this morning: U.S. taxpayers likely lost $1.3 billion in the government bailout of Chrysler, the Treasury Department announced Thursday. That's right, the guy who was supposed to be for the little man bailed out a major corporation at the detrement of all of us "little people". The man pisses away billions and trillions like a child with no sense of money.

You honestly think that 6 million jobs in 3 years gone with over 1 trillion dollars wasted to prevent it is nothing?

2008...... 136,790 114,281 21,334 767 7,162 13,406
2009...... 130,807 108,252 18,557 694 6,016 11,847

2010...... 129,818 107,337 17,755 705 5,526 11,524

I suppose we could get the government to hire them all and raise taxes. Would that be your definition of success?

Progress would be lifting the shackles that are on clean coal
oil exploration/extraction/refinement
nuclear power
gas powered turbines
better use of the resources we own

Roll back to 07-08 spending levels
begin tax reform on the entire system

If we used tarp as was the intent
we are about 600-700 billion less in deficit
stimulus as i stated earlier
4-500 billion less in deficit
go back to 07-08 spending levels
Now were talking

Jobs 30 months after those other changes I stated begin to really go

The far left will never admit he has failed. In fact he is not doing enough for most on the far left
But that 15-20% that is more of a blue dog, when do they admit he has failed?

When does blaming Bush get replaced with replacing Obama? Have we got to a place that the hatred for Bush and knowing now you where being lied to about his performance not allow you to admit "this is a mistake"

I ask each of you
please think about what this man has done come 2012, it is time for a change

when do rightwingnuts admit they're hacks?

just wondering....

Why do you insist on addressing those that think differently than you do as "nuts"?

Different ideas help people grow. I have learned a lot from those that think differently than I do....I have changed my mind dramatically as it pertains to social issues as I respected the thoughts and ideas of those that think differently.

I will not always agree with the left.....but look at all of my posts...I NEVER address the left as kooks, nutbars, idiots or stupid (well, maybe TM from time to time...and Bodecea becuase she refuses to listen and respect my thoughts)....

But I have never done anything less than refer to the left politicians as intelligent, articulate and passionate.....even when I wholeheartedly disagree with them.

Once in a while I will ask why one is acting like an asshole or something like that, but the down right hatred from this group is the ones I pointed out that no matter how bad it gets
we will all ways be wrong

Because he hasn't "failed". Even Romney had to walk back his remarks. Then went with "failed" again. Then walked it back..and so on ..and so on..

Sallow you cannot undo the stimulus
that with his portion of tarp is close to 1 trillion dollars
You cannot undo the jobs that have been lost
You cannot undo the lies that where told to pass Obama-care

Barack’s Five Lies About ObamaCare - HUMAN EVENTS

1. The Budget Buster

White House officials brag that the multi-trillion-dollar health-care bill reduces deficit and, as a result, they argue that any repeal that goes into effect will increase deficit spending. But once fully implemented, ObamaCare will have the nation swimming in even more debt than we already are. When taxes and spending meet on the actual first 10 years of ObamaCare (2014-2023), the projected cost is $2.6 trillion, far above what the Democratic Congress promised. But there’s more. Also tack on an extra $200 billion for the Medicare “doc fix” portions and another $115 billion in discretionary spending needed to help execute the law. No wonder the Congressional Budget Office called the Democrats gimmickry in scoring ObamaCare “difficult to sustain for a long period.”

ObamaCare, from the get-go, was a budget buster.

2. Lower Thy Premium

Barack Obama promised to lower premiums by $2,500 a year for the average family. But now, in the real world, the cost of individual insurance will rise by $2,100 per year, says an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office. $2,100! For the math whizzes at Obama’s side, that’s a gap of $4,600 per year, per family. Repeal ObamaCare, save $2,100 a year. Sounds like a good message to us.

3. Cost Control Fantasy

Hey, remember when Obama said: “If any bill arrives from Congress that is not controlling costs, that’s not a bill I can support. It’s going to have to control costs.” Well guess what? Costs are a-soaring! But don’t take my word for it. The chief Medicare actuary, Richard Foster, stipulated in an April 2010 report that ObamaCare will increase health expenditures “by a total of $311 billion” over the next 10 years. Lovely.

4. Jobs Killer

House Republicans call their effort: “Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act.” And that’s spot-on. While the left is out chest-thumping that the Republicans should address the economy and not health care (the New York Times even called the House repeal effort a “ritual of self-glorification”), the likelihood of economic growth and ObamaCare are inexorably tied together. As one GOP aide put it, repeal means that “taxpayers will not face $569 billion in tax increases scheduled to take effect over the coming years—job-killing taxes that will harm an economy struggling to grow.”

These taxes hit individuals who choose not to purchase a government-approved insurance policy and employers—you know, job providers—who don’t provide workers with a government-approved insurance policy. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Other taxes dispensed from the font of ObamaCare included a 40% levy on “high-cost” insurance policies and new rules that ban Flexible Spending Accounts from being used to purchase over-the-counter drugs.

The question remains: How is ObamaCare not linked to economic growth? Only in the bizarre mind of a leftist does diminishing an individual’s purchasing power and making it more expensive to hire employees not impact economic trajectory.

5. Big Government Galore

Barack Obama likes to cloak his admiration for more government by making bureaucracy seem benign. “The question we ask today is not whether government is too big or too small, but whether it works.” Remember that line? Barack said it on Inauguration Day. Funny thing is, the size of government and its efficacy are blood brothers. And Americans know it, which is why they protested at town hall meetings across the country before the healthcare overhaul was made law. But the objections of the people were drowned out by the Democrats’ government-knows-best elitism. So with ObamaCare comes 159 new programs, bureaucracies and boards for Americans to look forward to.

The Bottom line is simple: The GOP must do all in its power to weaken and defang Obamacare until a full overhaul is achieved. Remember the Gipper’s sage warning: The closest thing we’ll ever see to eternal life here on earth is a government agency. And Obamacare gave us a whole new fleet of bureaucracies to worry about.
You cannot undo the 2 years we lost in focusing on the economy while Obama care was all he focused on

Exactly how do you define failure?

failed to remove the Patriot Act
failed to lower UE

Failed to control the debt

1. What? he either closes it or he did not. I am glad he came to his senses. (he was lying the whole time anyway)
3. thats a lie. Do your DD. Conference - A 65% COBRA subsidy for 9 months will apply to workers laid off between Sept. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2009. Those already laid off have 60 days to apply for COBRA.[25]
axes ($275 billion)
New tax credit
House— About $145 billion for $500 per-worker, $1,000 per-couple tax credits in 2009 and 2010. For the last half of 2009, workers could expect to see about $20 a week less withheld from their paychecks starting around June. Millions of Americans who don’t make enough money to pay federal income taxes could file returns next year and receive checks. Individuals making more than $75,000 and couples making more than $150,000 would receive reduced amounts.
Senate — The credit would phase out at incomes of $70,000 for individuals and couples making more than $140,000 and phase out more quickly, reducing the cost to $140 billion.
Conference- Tax Credit reduced to $400 per worker and $800 per couple in 2009 and 2010 and phaseout begins at $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for joint filers. Note retirees with no wages get nothing.[29]
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
UE was not 10% In Feb of 2009
4. Those laws where in place long before UE hit 10%. In fact GWB was not even president when UE hit 10%. in fact those laws, well here New overtime regulations go into effect - Aug. 23, 2004
5. Tarp? BHO asked for 50% of tarp and got it
800 billion on a failed stimulus
thats over 1 trillion there
with homeland security and tax rates and Iraq wide open in 2007, we were within 162 billion of breaking even
Iraq is over. We did not need the other 1/2 of tarp and the stimulus failed
STOP LYING
ITS NOT ABOUT GWB ANY-MORE

The "mainstream" Democrats are all Independents, now.

The only Democrats left are those who either work for the Dems or their funding corporate sources, or are completely clueless outsiders who have no idea that party once stood for.

editc
I was a blue dog for years
from the south
hell I voted for Bob Graham back in the late 90s and it was his committee that with GWB provided the ammunition to invade Iraq
I think Gore and the 2000 event had some to do with it. Libs went crazy after that. The old blue dog is really the same the tea party guy form the south is
working man (woman)
pro-gun
pro-life
Knows there is a place for govt

If you really look at it anyone form the south is being shunned by this admin.
The blue dog democrat is DOA
Clinton did raise income tax, but he did also do allot of de regulation

Obama's Director of the White House National Economic Council & Clinton's Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers at 22:00 in video
"If Hitler had not come along, Franklin Roosevelt would have left office in the beginning of 1941 with an unemployment rate in excess of 15% and an economic recovery strategy that had basically failed."

When does the mainstream democrat admit, Obama has failed?

A few right before Obama goes out the door and many never. Just like the right did with Bush.

They won't say Obama failed, because he hasn't.

Think about it. The man has forced much of his agenda on the American people. He has been completely successful at what he planned to accomplish. The fact that his policies are destroying America doesn't change the fact that he was successful at implimenting them.

Why do you think GWB failed?
I find that anyone who would compare the 2 confused at best

we had 8 years of 4-6% UE
with 2 wars we had a deficit that was down to 162 billion a year in 2007
we overcame 9-11
4 major hurricanes in 2004
2 in 2005, with Katrina being one of those
we gained 6 million jobs from 03-08
overcame Enron and added Sarbanes Oxley to prevent another one

and why is it you think GWB failed?
Oh yea
we won Iraq

I have been waiting for a long time for that response
I really think what you say is true

Never allow a crises to go to waste
he did not
