When does a thread become "old"??

How does a thread become listed as "old" when it's only been up less than a half hour?

Why is this determination even made if the thread never does disappear anyway?
 
It becomes "old" as soon as you read it. The board "knows" what you have read and looked at already, and it's letting you know.

It's a system default. Only the Wizard knows these things. Probably only the Wizard and you care. :cool:

My guess is the second you click on it, it becomes "old" to you...but not necessarily to everyone else until they click on it

It becomes old when del comes along, dressed in lederhosen and sprinkles pixie dust on it.

I missed that?! I want my money back!!! Ain't no stinkin bumper sticker gonna take the place of that brand of entertainment. :(
