When do you think the GOP will regain Congress?

I think they will win the White House again before they regain either house of Congress. They could possibly regain the Senate in 12 years, but I predict they win the White House in 8, if Obama falters. Otherwise, who knows?

What is your opinion?

2010 or 2012. Obama and the Democrats are already off to a horrible start. It won't take long for them to lose power.

So Obama, in his week in office, hasn't fixed the mess that Bush left? That is good reason for the Dems to lose Congress? No, there will be plenty of other issues that sink the Dems. They will become greedy, just like the GOP did when they had control.

Then the economy may come back within the next four years and Obama and the Dems will become heros. When in actuality, the cyclical downturn will probably last less than a year anyway. In any case, 2010 or 2012 is very unrealistic...IMHO.

Probaly 2010, Democrats are making some classic political blunders, understandable since they have such a big majority right now.

You will either be right by 2012, or it will be a long road. The messages are mixed. The Republicans really screwed up, with many going to third parties, present company tending that way.

The House has never changed hands without the Senate doing so too. So who knows.

How about he's filled his cabinet with crooks.... after promising to be a different kind of politician.

The problem is that Obama is repeating the mistakes of the Bush Adminstration his first week in office. Deficit spending obviously didn't work for Bush and it won't work for Obama. 2010/12 is only possible if the Republicans act like conservatives. If they can keep this up, it's doable.

At this point, Republicans are all wishing it's 2010 or 2012. Because if Obama ends up doing good, the Republican party might really begin to head the way of the dinosaur.

The Republican party is full of RINOs....They can go to hell. They had their chance with GWB..(or GWB had his chance with them) and they blew it. Because of the actions of our latest republicans in office with GWB....I am now officially a registered Independent

Correct, simply because Obama is making lots of missteps. May turn around or may get worse, time will tell.

Bush and Paulson gave away a ton of money to Wall Street and banks. Now we hear about huge bonuses for CEOs and the banks won't even tell us where the money went. NO republicans voted for Obama's infusion of cash.

So basically, the problems was created during a GOP white house and now that the Dems have taken over, the republicans can push away from the table and say it is their fault. This is typical political postering. Will it help the GOP? Only time will tell.

How many Democrats did the dimwit Bush have in his cabinet? Please, cry some more tears about the lack of bipartisanship in the Obama administration. After 8 years of Bush, 6 years of GOP congressional control, it will be a breath of fresh air to see an administration actually trying to reach across the isle.

Norm Pineta was in how long? He was a democrat and got backing when many wanted him booted.

Still defending bush and making excuses for him?

Bush had one democrat in his cabinet, after losing the popular vote, and after his party losing seats in the senate and house in 2000.

Obama won in a landslide, gained massive majorities in both houses of congress, kept a republican Secretary of Defense, names a republican Secretary of Transportation, and is on the verge of naming a republican secretary of commerce.

There's no fucking comparison, unless one is a complete and total bush apologist.

So, the inference would be that Republicans do a better job?

Seriously, I think both parties do better at appealing to the citizens when they are 'out of power.' Suddenly the GOP is having to use some ideas and reasons why they oppose something, instead of assuming all they want is at their disposal. The Democrats, including many of the constituents have taken on the tone of 'entitled.' Good luck with that.

It would take an act of God to make President Obama look good if he continues on his current policies.

Cause giving the moderates in the Republican party more power is really going to fix things...
