The Confederate flag does not represent hatred and bigotry toward Blacks for everyone. Some view it as a commitment or and affection to the Old South, regardless of past wrongdoings. Not all Whites are racist, not even in the South.

To others, the Confederate flag represents rebellion. Maybe supporting Obama can be considered rebellious to old ways. It's a don't screw with me attitude.

It's backlight for one thing. And not in a Enneking (the sunset king) kind of good way, but in that way where the backlighting makes the image flat because there isn't enough contrast and shadowing to give it depth of field

The design is awful, too.

The subject is too centered and the stuff on the sides makes it entirely too busy and draws your attention away from the subject itself.

Nothing wrong with the picture at all. A proud southerner who has, hopefully, weighed the issues and chosen the candidate whose policies and values most represent his own.
