The rabid anti-gun left doesn't seem to comprehend that there are more reasons to own firearms, than shooting people. The most obvious reason to feed yourself and you family. And then there's sport shooting, target shooting, ammunition reloading, and other competitive shooting events. Hell, it's even an Olympic sport. The US holds more gold medals than any other country.

Another reason is that they are a good investment, I've never seen a firearm decrease in value. Firearms collectors know that there's nothing better than owning and preserving a valuable piece of history. Yet another reason to own firearms is because you respect and honor The U.S. Constitution. Respecting the Constitution means respecting the right of others to exercise those constitutional rights, as well. Gun owners also win political battles. Gun-rights groups have donated $22 million in political campaigns over the last decade, while gun control groups only gave $1.8 million.

But to the rabid anti-gun left, firearms have only one purpose: To kill other people. The left's unhealthy obsession with death, murder, and violence says alot about them, doesn't it?

What is the creepy obsession with the right that whenever there is a mass shooting the right goes on a rant that we need more guns in society?

Wrong. The most widely-heard response is that we need to enforce the laws that are already in place, not create more laws on top of the existing ones.

Were those laws actually enforced as they should be, there would be fewer guns in the hands of street thugs, felons, drug dealers, illegals, etc.

Ah, yes, perhaps it's because 3/4 of all murders in the US are carried out with guns perhaps?

It's a historical fact that no one ever died prior to the invention of firearms.

You can blame the Chinese. If they hadn't invented gunpowder, people would still be poking each other with sharp sticks, and hacking each other to pieces with sharp metal objects.

Think I'd rather be shot.

What's with the rights creepy obsession with making sure that any nut-bar can go buy something to commit mass murder?

No, actually it isn't. Usually the first thing said pertains to the mythical "good guy with a gun" and how it's too bad more people weren't armed.

Pretty obvious that few of them were done by NRA members, gun-collectors, sport shooters, or conservative Republicans.

Your everyday average ordinary gun criminal tends to be a liberal or a Democrat. Take a poll of the street thugs and shooters in cities like Chicago or any other large city:: You won't find a single Republican among them.

Which brings us back to the liberal's sick obsession that firearms are only for killing people.

So you have a problem with law-abiding "good guys" owning firearms?

No, you have to pass a competency test, get licensed and insured to buy a truck.

Even creepier is the fact that Republicans want to arm school shooters and protect their rights to own a gun.

But no FBI criminal background check? Hmmm. You should feel reassured that I'm a safer person to be around than some schmuck with a 2-ton truck. I've been checked, vetted, and am a trusted individual in the eyes of both the federal government and the laws of my state.

There you go again. Can't one single liberal be engaged in a conversation about firearms, without bringing up murder, death, and school-shootings?

Like I said, your unhealthy obsession with death is telling.
