I don't know about my life but this summer's theme tune is this one

Now in 1966, when Kenny Rogers and the First Edition did this tune, it was a psychodelic rock tune and AT THAT TIME, that rendition of this tune spoke to me and expressed my frustration and anger at life. Hell I was 16 and ya'll probably remember what that was like, right?​

Now?​

Now this same song (but with a wholly different POV) speaks to me again.​

Willie's redition of this song about the existential human condition is more resigned and yet at the same time more sanguine about life than the original.​

What a different 45 years makes, eh?​
