In nature when some animals are hungry and food is scarce they elect to eat their offspring. Were kinda like that to. While we dont eat our children, but we do expect them to pick up the tab on all fronts. How can we justify this as human beings??

Consider all the other problems that we are leaving to our children, all caused by this generations greed and selfishness.

Honey baked ham!
Turnip greens and ham hocks.
Fried corn.
Stewed Okra.
Cucumbers and onions.
Tomato basil salad.
Banana puddin!

And Kentucky Sweet Mint Tea!~

Homemade veggie soup, crackers, milk, grilled cheese and a couple of pieces of cherry pie for desert with a couple of glasses of milk.

If you stop having children -- I found it reduces the temptation to harvest them..

Seriously -- you got a point. Realistically, you won't recognize this country in 30 years.
We are the new Roman bread and circuses..

And Sunshine honey --- Watch those calories. We don't want to see the results of your over-eating..

It's not us that's leaving our children with the tab, it's people in charge like Obama.

Grilled turkey with rice pilaf.

Time to be honest with ourselves. Government is our responsability. Where would we be today if the founders of this country said 'its not our problem, its people in charge like King George'.

At some point we have to stop being dependant on government and start taking care of ourselves.

Greed and selfishness? You have the wrong idea about the quality of life in the greatest Country in the world. The problem isn't greed or selfishness, it's negligence and gross mismanagement by politicians who are spending our grand kids money as we speak. Regardless of the temporary shift to socialism America is still the greatest Country on the face of the earth and the sooner left wing whiners learn to appreciate freedom and prosperity the sooner we will be back to normal.

Shits happen.

Oh I know that isn't a very satisfying answer, but that really is the answer.

It isn't like this is the first time in history that a nations MASTER class (those shits!) elected to bankrupt a nation for their own personal benefit.

Since I'm in a really good mood today, I assumed he was actually asking what's for dinner, so I was going to post either leftover tacos or beef stew ... silly me.

Husband cooks - I can't wait for his homemade minestrone soup with lots of veggies, pasta and chunks of Italian sausage with chunks of warm sourdough bread with garlic butter and super cinnamon-laced homemade apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream on top. Predinner drinks - Sex on the Beach, then wine with dinner. We have such lovely "evenings" with fire in fireplace and we pretend like we are on our 2nd or 3rd date of our lives. We've been married 41 years, too. He makes all manner of wonderful homemade soups. He does all the cooking.

Baked pork chops with sauteed Asparagus and shredded potatoes with cheese and onions. Maybe a glass of red wine to wash it all down. My wife make the best.

Ooooh that sounds good. Hubby makes the asparagus in the oven, which is different, but excellent. we love the stuff.

Going with a good old American pot roast, potatoes and carrots.

More importantly . . . what should I make for dessert? Hmmm . . . .
