Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation. - President Barack Obama

Whatever we once were, that is the place we must return to. America once was the most powerful, prosperous, envied nation in the world. Though some nations despised our liberty and greatness, all acknowledged and respected our power and position in the world.

We were an industrial nation mass producing and exporting to the world. Our citizens led the way in space exploration, inventions such as the light bulb, electricity, aviation, modernizing and mass producing transportation by land, by sea and by air. Americans were a blessed people, an instrument of righteousness in the hands of Almighty God.

As America flourished so did the desire for what would become known as “the American dream.”

It is hard to comprehend how our current President could refuse to acknowledge what we once were. How could our President who claimed to be a teacher of the Constitution not know the content of the original 13 State Constitutions concerning our Christian faith – when it was those very same states that ratified the Constitution with a 2/3 vote?

The original plan of our founding fathers was that each state defined the parameters of religious tolerance for their individual states. The common denominator for all of the original 13 States was their emphasis on “Protestant Christianity” as the requirement of any who would be capable of holding office.

North Carolina stated in their 1776 Constitution:

No person who shall deny the being of God or the truth of the Protestant Religion or the divine authority either of the Old or New Testament or who shall hold religious principles incompatible with the freedom and safety of the State, shall be capable of holding office.
___

The question of who we once were lies in the words of early Christian patriots who defended and fought for our liberty as a free and united nation under God.

The men we have been elected into leadership today do not hold the same values nor do they represent our early fathers who held high the lamp of God's Word to guide us with.

Sessions in Congress began with prayers to Almighty God, not a moment of silence. The current idea (ology) of political correctness would have been tossed out on its -tolerance of anything evil – head!

Today science and reason – the religion of humanism – has replaced biblical righteousness. The 13 colonies who each wrote their requirements for those who would hold elected office did so to ensure that our leadership would guide America by the literal truth of God's Holy Word.

Over time individual states compromised those principles and permitted religions which were never intended to be included by the original thirteen.

It was our compromise that led to the inclusion today of humanism, Communism -Catholicism, Islamism, atheism, Satanism, and every other “ism” under the sun.

It is our compromise with evil that has put us in great danger.

Whereas America has fought two World wars to defend the principles of liberty and justice whose foundations were in Christ, who will fight the third, which seeks to end Christianity as our founding fathers professed it to be?

We must free ourselves from the evil grip of humanism that is promoting itself by a re-emerging Roman Empire. Their agenda to unite and baptize every human on earth into their One World dis-Order Cult Religion has already proven to be a deadly one.

We need to be honest here. Whatever we once were?

We must become again.

Oh, yes Zionist hate the Vatican and Rome. They do not forget but get even. They hate Evangelicals as well but gladly take their money.

Yes our one and only Catholic Pres didn't last long. Zionist created Protestantism in my opinion, Calvin was greatly influenced by a jew.

You obviously put a lot of thought and effort into your OP. Too bad it's a bunch of horse shit.

Macro, you are forgetting one thing, America's "greatness" was built on mass immigration. It created pain and poverty for existing Americans back then too.

No thanks. A lot of people fought and died to make America what it is today. The last thing we need is to veer towards theocracy.

But America was never a theocracy. Left wingers simply don't know their history.

The sad part is, the US is Christian when convenient for those on the left.

For example, the US is Christian when bombing the Middle East, but become secular when children want to pray in their schools.

Nope. The US is never Christian. You've been misled.
