Led Zepplin...I have never smoked Banana Peels...but I have smoked grape vines.

I use my grape vines in da pit, after I get the fire good and hot, to isolate the pig from the coals. It adds a wonderful flavor to the pork. They're stored in da cooler after trimming back in May.
That's when I'm at my farm in Chile, generally mid June until the first of August or so.
That would be pure winter ( don't tell murkins. They'll get confused)
