In fact, if anyone is the Utopian dreamer, it's the modern progressive socialist.

This is absolutely true, freedom or liberty from governemnt brings only freedom it does not bring utopia and no one says it does. Liberalism on the other hand does promise to solve all problems with a free lunch for all.
