the characters all look exactly alike, their mouth moves only one way and doesn't match their words, and their pupils/eyes are huge and shake like they are either on crack or holdong onto a jackhammer.

what happened to the GOOD cartoons like looney tunes and woody woodpecker? Mighty mouse? chilly willy? all were higher quality animation.

My kids never watched any kind of cartoons on TV. They didn't have time to do their chores and watch cartoons too. Now that I have satellite, I have all the cartoon channels blocked out where their kids can't watch them here either. These new fangled radio's that you can see the people on is really something.

Is this even serious? Where is the news article that says Bush or ANYONE is banning Anime? I mean Cartoon network, Fox, ABC, WB, CBS, Disney, etc would all lose a considerable amount of viewers if this was a true story. Judging by the petition (gross misspellings and ignorance abound in the posts through the link) i dont put much faith in this so called ban. Show me where Bush or anyone said it then ill believe it.

BTW, i love anime. One of my fav things to watch as long as its not TOO weird. (Japanese are pretty far out there in their anime) But none of the weird ones end up on our TV's because Americans just wouldnt get it.

Edit: Man upon further inspection of that "Petition", it looks like an 8 year old kid wrote it after his yu-gi-oh episode got done or maybe it was Bully? (not much difference between an 8 year old, yugioh loving kid and bully now is there. Plus the people that have responded sound of the ilk that have caused so many warning labels for "glue not being edible" to "not operating heavy machinery while retarded." :scratch:

This "petition" is the result of somebody with anti-Bush delusions. Remember when Cameron Diaz said Bush would make rape legal? This is probably the result of somebody at school telling him this to mess with him and him believing it.

Oh, and officially:
Anime: Good. American cartoons are good for a laugh, but Anime is good for deep, involved plotlines and is better, in general, than most American TV shows, expecially reality shows.

I was at my friend's xanga just earlier and found this post about Bush banning Anime forever from the United States of America. Some moron who disguised his/her name as "The Undersigned" as written a letter to the President demanding him to BAN ANIME FROM THE STATES. Here's the letter:

Here in America, we live in a climate of moral decay. What is the cause of this? It is called "anime". Anime is a perverse, evil, insiduous form of animation from the dark land of Japan, and is corrupting America's youth at unprecedented rates. Here are a few examples of anime which are circulating on the Internet and may very well be in your home:

1) Ah My Goddess: A sick and disgusting show which causes children under the age of 18 to think they are capable of love. The main female character is clearly under 18, and is forced into a romantic relationship by an older man who "wishes" for her to be his girlfriend forever. He even KISSES her, and she appears NAKED.
