In the last days of the Bush presidency, the democrats were very successful in taking an ordinary cyclical recession and turned it into major depression under obama, then blamed Bush. Bush took office from Clinton during an ordinary cyclical recession and didn't turn it into a depression, but prosperity, or at least as much prosperity as could be wrung from the democrat jaws.

I really like the way the republicans want to blame the current president for the mess, you have real short memories. King George almost single handedly destroyed our county. The United States is a very rich country. We could use our natural resources to buy our way out of deficits and restore the economy. We have more oil than the middle east, more rare earths than China and more coal and natural gas than anyplace in the world.

We also have a government intent on not using any of those natural resources and a totalitarian EPA that will persecute anyone who tries.

That's the difference between us and Greece. Greece has nothing. It has even driven off all of its innovators.

In the last days of the United States we won't get a strong leader, what we will get is divided up among an assortment of "protectors".
