What we need from our Republican candidate!

Methinks Johnwk is in need of a time machine, one which would transport him to the 18th Century.
No. Just back to 1964 to watch Barry Goldwater go down in flames.

but I do agree with him. The Republicans should nominate someone who kow tows to the extreme right. That would teach them a very valuable lesson: the rest of the electorate thinks far right ideology is crazy and dangerous and we reject it whole heartedly.
Like they did last November. If you gave America a do-over in 1968 after Lyndon fucked-up the country...Goldwater would have won. You also skipped Reagan and forgot about Nixon. Minus Watergate he was popular with the people.
But then again, prudent students of history realize that the mid term elections during the second term of every president since WWII have resulted in a win for his political opposition. History was not made in the 2014 mid terms, it was repeated.
By the margins history was made. You can throw out 1974 that was post Watergate. Keep on making excuses.
Just nominate a real nut job like Li'l Ricky Santorum or Ted' the Canuck' Cruz. Get the man you want. One who can effectively persecute the poor, the elderly, the infirmed, the minority, the homosexual. The man who could give a damn about the environment so long as profits are made. The man who would eliminate entitlements to the poor and infirmed 'for their own good'.

Nominate that man. And then watch on election night as the results are called for the Democrat by 8:30 eastern time.

This kinda tells the tale doesn't it? USA is a "conservative" nation.

There you go talking about "persecution." Just because someone does not advocate special treatment of individuals does not mean they are "persecuting" them. Liberal need to stop whining all the time.

Laugh now, but Cruz might be your next POTUS. Very anti-establishment and the people like that.

I would love for republicans to set their own agenda and not just take the opposite side of the dems.
A.) Someone who follows the Constitution of the United States
B.) Someone who will slash Washington bureaucracy by at least 50% and lay-off all the liberal bureaucrats with federal jobs sucking on the taxpayer tit and tell them to go home and get a real job.
C.) Restore the honor of the U.S. military after years of liberal meddling.
D.) eliminate the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Justice Department and appoint an Attorney General who will focus on prosecuting federal corruption instead of our local police.
E.) Support "block grants" to the states. 50 checks for 50 states after all NECESSARY federal spending is complete. Let states decide if they want to fund education and health care for their people. They can spend the money how they want. Keep the pork greased fingers of the Congress out of the process!!!!!
While I appreciate any thoughtful post like yours.....

Your list has either things that are too vague to actualy happen, or stuff that will never happen.
If the GOP has control of legislative and executive branches you don't think government can be slashed and power restored to the states? You don't think the liberalization of our military with regards to gender and sexual preference has not brought dishonor? I am a combat arms + combat veteran of two branches of military (artillery and infantry) and right now our military is too worried about PC bullshit. as a nation and a people we are a bunch of pussies. Again, PC bullshit. Civil Rights division is a socialist/racist wing of federal government. we have no race problem in America. We DO have a news media and extremist that use it as a rating/ wedge issue. You live in the United States. Get a fucking job and raise your kids right and they wont get shot by police.

Why didn't the GOP do that last decade? Because they don't really want to.
The GOP is trying to get elected for what they aren't, and time is not on the same side as that kind of strategy
but the fact is...they keep getting elected! federal level and state houses. How do you explain that?

And what form of special treatment are the groups I mentioned calling for? Special treatment is the language people use when they think that equal rights means the loss of their own.

Problem with democrats they are now identified as the "anti-white people party" by independents living in the suburbs. They are trending GOP because they don't want all they hard earned things taken from them.

So long as the Republicans quarrel among themselves and conduct political purges of the ideologically 'impure', they will remain the party with the fringe on the top. And the general electorate ain't gonna buy a fringe candidate.

Homosexuals and minorities deserve no special consideration in the eyes of the law. How is GOP persecuting the poor, infirm, and elderly? Your premise is way out there. It is based on "victimology." hard working American's are sick of all the whiners.

Split is not in GOP but in Democratic Party. Go Lizzie Warren and Hillary...CAT FIGHT!!!

I kind of like all the batshit crazy Republicans they have now. The base is truly represented. Look at the last election.

Jobs? no
Healthcare? no
Infrastructure? no

instead, it was

Ebola? yes
Isis? yes
refugee children fleeing danger? yes

And after the election?

WE WON!

then

Jobs? no
Healthcare? no
Infrastructure? no

So what did they win?

nothing

Republicans need a candidate who can tell the batshit crazy portion of the party to go fuck themselves

Many said the same thing about the (D) party, yet they allow "the batshit crazy portion" to rule the party and terms liberal and progressive. Never vote far left, it is never the answer to any problem..

We need for the next prez to tell us what HE wants, not some guy on the internet to tell him how to be.
yeah we want some one to tell us what He wants not what we want? are you guys serious about trying to keep electing egomaniacs that think they have the answers and can save us all? pray for a prophet then cause all these other men are just making false profits for us all that keeps ending in hell for us all. but you guys never studied any history and can't see it repeating continuously.

And here is a prime example of why the far left is more dangerous than any other extremist religious group out there.

I'm surprised you're asking for an explaination.

Was your question rhetorical, or shall I answer it?

Each time some Right Winger advocates eliminating entitlements, they are advocating the persecution of those on the receiving end. Every time a Right Winger does not support marriage equality, they are advocating the persecution of homosexual.

No one is asking for 'special rights'. I remember when your predecessors, George Wallace and David Duke and Lester Maddox and Strom Thurmond used to say 'Negroes are demanding 'special rights'. What they were saying is "We think that equal treatment and equal rights means our right to hate and discriminate are being eroded." Perhaps they were right. Their rights to repress were being eliminated and American is better off as a result.

The GOP needs to go back to being smart instead of stupid. The GOP needs to get back to being courageous instead of cowardly.

Any retard can say, and does say, "Repeal ObamaCare." It takes someone with brains and guts to then put an alternate comprehensive health care reform plan on the table, and that is where the GOP drools on itself and trips over its shoelaces.

The bigotry toward Mexicans is also where the tards are falling on their face. 80 percent of Americans want illegals to be provided a path to citizenship or legal status. So if you insist on a candidate who wants to ship them all back to Mexico, you are asking for your ass to be flame broiled.

All we hear from the Right these days is whining and fear and pessimism.

EBOLAZ GONNA GIT YA!

OBAMAZ CUMMIN FER YER GUNZ!

1.6 BILLION ROUNDZ A AMMO!

600 FEMA CAMPS!

DA ARMEEZ GOIN TA LOCK YOO UP!

DEAD MEXICAN FELONZ ARE A'VOTIN BY THE MILLIONZ!

TH3 GAYZ! TH3 GAYZ! TH3 GAYZ!

BOOOOMMMM! SWOOOOSHHHHH! THIS JUST IN: THE DARKIES ARE A-COMIN! DARKIES IN THE WIRE!!!!

It is time to stop shitting your pants every five minutes, and eject the tards from your midst and start getting back to being intelligent. And show some spine, for chrissakes.
The whiners are on the left. "What about my rights...what about me...waaaa!"

Wait, are you against rights? Or just against rights when the left is pro-rights?

We need for the next prez to tell us what HE wants, not some guy on the internet to tell him how to be.
JWK

Tell us what HE wants? I think he should tell you and your free government cheese crowd the game is over. Get a freaken job or starve.

JWK

If we can make 51 percent of America’s population dependent upon an Obama, welfare, food stamp, section 8 housing, college loan check, and now free Obamacare along with FREE BACON, we can blackmail them for their vote, keep ourselves in power and keep the remaining portion of America’s productive population enslaved to pay the bills ____ Obama’s Free Cheese Democracy, designed to establish a federal plantation which redistributes wealth that wage earners, business and investors have worked to create.

["but the fact is...they keep getting elected! federal level and state houses. How do you explain that?"]

Easy, a poorly educated electorate, a plethora of demagogues telling them what they want to hear, and enough hate and fear (of gun control, of gay rights, of immigration reform and of the PPACA) to cause an educated person to shudder in embarrassment, even knowing that some of the people can be fooled all of the time. And that element is the Republican"s conservative base.

And let us not forget gerrymandering and voter suppression. All that was needed for a bloodless coup.
