When I was in the Navy, I spent most of my 4 years in the Far East. I spent a lot of that time chugging along from port to port on the 2 ships that I had the pleasure to serve on. I visited many places overseas but my favorite liberty port of them all was Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines. All you WestPac sailors here know that the liberty town was called Olongapo. What a wild place that was! My personal motto in those long ago days was "so many women, so much booze and so little time", ha ha. Olongapo supplied all the booze and women that a thirsty and horny sailor could ever dream of. Nowdays, when I think back to those days, I get a weird grin on my face that my wife can never fully understand, ha ha.

Which liberty ports did my fellow swabbies here favor? Marines, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard veterans are more than welcome to chime in with their favorite R&R locations. The more, the merrier!
