What was a reason for God to sacrifice His Son?

We know it wasn't for altruistic purposes. There was a price to be paid for God's wrath and that was the death of all humankind after Adam and Eve. We started over again from Noah's family and this time God did not put up a negative test such as do not eat from the Tree of Knowledge. He put up John 3:16. You've heard it before. Repent! The end is near John 3:16. This time God put up a positive test. Thus, the death of his Son wasn't just for human's salvation. There was a price to be paid and that was death of all the descendants of Adam and Eve. And thus, it is prophecised that we, too, will all die one day. Humankind just can't make it, i.e. be saved, by themselves.

having a bad day?

After drinking too much some people can remain inebriated well into the next day...

Are you? First and foremost, having a chance for a second life instead of eternal death is most welcome. My quote wasn't negative, but about God putting in a positive test since the negative didn't work out. Not only you and I, but everyone else has a second chance.

People can't save ourselves. We cannot escape the price of justice. We cannot bring ourselves back from the dead. We needed an intermediary to take the punishment for us so that we could be given mercy. We needed someone capable of returning to life to pave the way before we could return

Jesus was fantastically gay and god being a good authoritarian christian of peace ordered his death.........and maybe yours too if ya sin too much.

You got the whole damn story all wrong.

Its not about an intermediary to take punishment for our sins, it is about Jesus teaching and demonstrating the only right way to understand and conform to the divine commands that fulfills the promise of life in the realm of God right here on earth.

Unless you do it you cannot have that life in you.

The only way for you to expiate your sin is to stop sinning and conform to the right way to follow the law according to the revelation of Jesus by eating his flesh and drinking his blood. In other words accepting his teaching and following his example.

Remember? He who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks condemnation upon himself.
