What the Sam Hell is Area 51 up to?

I notice these maps must be kinda old.... I went to where my new house should be (has been built nearly a year now) and it still shows that area as being unbuilt.

My house is about 100+ yrs old, doesn't show either. In fact none of the buiildings show, just the lots.

I knew this thread was good for something! Obviously these are pools set up for the whale-like, alien ambassadors.
