What should we call the President?

I guess you've noticed that I have zero respect for the President. I show that as well as by my posts, by my refusal to capitalize his name, as in President barack obama.
Each time I type out his name, I get the red squiggly line that indicates a spelling error. Right clicking gives me suggestions for a correction. For obama, I get "Obadiah, Obadias, Bamako, Alabama and abeam"
For barack, I get "barrack, bareback, Barabbas, backtrack and tamarack.
I am considering calling our current POTUS "Barabbas Bamako" What do you think? I think there's a nice ring to it. Could it catch on?

Mr President, President Obama, or just Obama is fine with me....

when other names are added like the ones you have suggested Ernie is simply disrespectful of the position and not the person....it is downright silly to resort to such, infantile in nature...and in my personal opinion, it makes our country look ridiculous that we actually have citizens doing such and is probably bad for the Nation overall so see such silliness...

Was that too harsh? I hope not.....please take it as constructive criticism.

and for the record, I never called President bush the names many liberals called him...I have always respected the position of the president, for our Nation's sake, regardless of political party and did not like it one bit, when it was done to President bush.

I think alot of this comes from me being an Air force brat, I was brought up this way, or even 'trained' this way, by my family.

How will Ernie survive if/when the President is reelected? He must've heard about Perry's disastrous, double-digit loss in the Fla straw poll no doubt? Maybe thats what brought this on. Perry's a RINO anyway ;)

Thankfully I won't have to worry about that.
What brought this on was simply irritation over red squiggly lines. One would think that after 3 years of near constant articles and internet posts using the name barack obama, spell check would have updated data.

Dear dude; surely you jest. Spell check says all manner of words that ARE correctly typed, are not. I routinely see what they marked wrong, and find I was right at dictionary.com.

Is turning spell check off an option, I wonder.

It is an option, but my spelling is atrocious and I choose to make what I write here easily understood.
Sure spell check misses a lot of words, but something in such common usage as President obama's name? Find me another word in such common usage not in the spell check database.

Same. But then, I voted for him twice, and I wasn't active on political message boards (or anywhere, really).

Some people are comfortable with the political cartoons, caricatures, and photoshop pictures. I'm not one of them. In fact, I've put several people on ignore just because I couldn't bear to look at their avatar. Seriously.

It's ugly, and unnecessary. Nobody can hear what you're saying when your avatar is screaming ignorance, fear and hate.

I only suggested alternate names that spell check wouldn't reject. I haven't used them nor have I used names like obummer, obamabot etc. I spell his name correctly, I just don;t show him respect by capitalizing it. I see you are not capitalizing Bush. Apparently you respect him as little as I respect President obama. I have no problem with that. You are entitled to your opinion, as am I.

I used to refer to him as President 0bama. I figured out that was just too disrespectful, so now I use O rather than 0.

I hated "Shrub," "chimpy" and all the other really dumb names, but I figure sinking to that level myself only cheapens myself.

However, I look forward to calling him Ex president Obama in 16 months. That will be both respectful and positive.

Our side lived w/ Dubya/Shrub for 8-years. Democracies do ocassionally have Presidential elections  and President Obama won his. ;)

I have often wondered if Bush's folksy demeanor was just an "act" to make the vast #'s of poor shmucks in this country, on both sides of the aisle, think he was one of them. Almost every person I've mentioned this to has responded "No, he just wasn't that bright". It's illustrated well in this vid at the 3:50 mark ;) :

I have often wondered if Dot Coms's artsy demeanor was just an "act" to make the vast #'s of cultured shmucks on this board, on both sides of the aisle, think he was one of them. Almost every person I've mentioned this to has responded "No, he just isn't that bright".

I'd call him Mr Dilettante. Or Mr Barry O'Carter.

He has no experience running anything but his jawbone.

And that makes him any different than you - how, exactly?

A fair question.

I've owned and operated a business that started with nothing 26 years ago and that has now has grown to 70 full time employees. I've managed sales, operations, human resources, administration, marketing, and everything else required to run a business. I also had to meet payroll for 26 years.

I also can speak in public without a teleprompter.

Obama is a civil servant with ZERO private sector experience. He's a dilettante.

Now Betty Boob-Job will now post her credentials....

Thanks.

Should be an interesting comparo.
