If you're wearing a ring mean to symbolize your choice to remain celibate until marriage, instead of achieving that, it's more likely to make you think about sex every time you notice it. Choosing to be celibate is fine so long as you're doing it for the right reasons and not because you believe sex is sinful or something to be avoided unless some specific circumstnaces get met first like getting married.
