What outdoor activities do you like doing?

My favorite outdoor activity is opening the damn door so I can go inside.

I'll admit my idea of camping has changed after meeting my GF. Her coworkers and boss threatened me with bodily harm if I didn't make things comfortable for her on her first camping experience.

I went out and bought all new stuff.....

LMFAO!!! You have the best signature here!!!

I love getting out and doing different things. Here's a short list.....

Hiking
Camping
Geocaching
Flying
Fishing
Traveling
Boating
etc.....

What do you like doing in your spare time?

My list:
Camping about 4 times a year.
Yachting and Fishing. Live next to water in my entire life both east and west coast. We do this activities quite often.
Scuba. Every chance I get.
Flying. But not like it used to be maybe 2x a year. Lost my interest.
Sky Jumping and Rock Climbing. Abandoned this several years ago bc my wife always declared WW3.
Traveling. Overseas at least once or twice a year. Slowed down in last 2 years. Locally not sure how many times a year but I do this for my son. I want him to stay with his family instead of traveling. BTW he is my CEO.
Casino. It depends on what city I'm at. So not sure how many times a month.
Golf. At least once or twice a week.
Other sports. Basketball, tennis, chess.
Cruises. We travel all over world not sure if I can include this but we are thinking of trying the latest and largest cruise ship Harmony of the Sea.
Car racing. At least once a month.
Ball Room dancing. Once or twice a week. Usually Fridays or Sat.
Movies. Used to be once a month but I have not been to movie theater since I have my Fire Stick. You can buy this at amazon or Best Buy and not sure why in the world this legal. Probably watch 1 or 2 movies a week.

Aside from that I'm still bored. That is why I'm here in this site.
BTW......... Can I include womanizing? Because it's still considered as out side activities. This takes a lot of planning, logistics and cost.

You only live once. Life is too short. Enjoy life.

I live on a lake so after work in the summer we are out on the boat 5:30pm till the sun goes down. Sometimes we stand up jet ski sometimes we paddle board. Living on the lake is where it's at in the summer. Fall till January 1st is hunting season.

The only time of year that sucks is Jan 1- April 1st. 3 months. And here's the kicker. I've lived on the lake for years and last year finally got a quad runner so I was excited about winterfest on the ice. It's a blast if you have a snowmobile or quad. Well guess what? This year the lake didn't freeze enough for me to take the quad on the ice. Of course

I have found that a tent is lighter than a trailer and allows you to go anywhere and camp there.

So I will never get another trailer of any kind.

I have a big tent for vehicle camping and a smaller tent for backpacking. They both work great.

They both keep bugs out.
I agree. I prefer a tent over pulling a trailer.

A nice size tent provides the space for added comforts. Aside of the queen size bed, we also have a heater for those chilly mornings. :)

How about geocaching? Has anyone here done that?

Thanks. :)

I'm just now reading your post, and think I've changed it since then. Because I like your threads and posts, I'll be happy to change it back. It's your call. :)

My GF is a nurse practitioner in the same hospital. She was ok with me showing her around. :)

But not bear. I camp out on a property with bear. Have you ever seen one of those little homes? Anywhere from $3000-$15,000 depending on how big and how nice. I'd probably get the $6000 model and put a little pot belly stove and recliner chair and futon in it with a coffee table.

Next year my brothers going to build a barn with a living space loft. Right now when I go up by myself I stay in the deer blind. It's pretty big and I have a comfortable chair up there and with my mini propane heater I stay warm. It has 4 Windows so plenty of air gets in.

Last weekend we moved all our stuff out of our Port Austin Condo on Lake Huron. What a place.

Our place is just off to the left of this picture overlooking the pier and lighthouses.

I'm going to miss it but not enough to pay the $6K a year in taxes and bills it costs to have a second home. We don't use it nearly enough. I'm sorry I never took my stand up jet ski up to the big lake. Too much work when I live on a lake.

I regret not taking my 2 seater coleman troll boat

on the Pinnebog River

I would have loved to see what's up that river and how far can I go.

Boy you make an interesting point. I was thinking about getting a trailer and every winter drive it down to Florida and rent a space in a RV park where you basically get water and electricity....You know what I'm talking about. So why do I need a portable trailer? Wouldn't they let me pop up a tent? Would that not be allowed? I think I'm going to do this too. Only I will buy the best tent. Waterproof, big,
