What? Obama admits government “can’t create jobs”

FDR created more jobs than ever recorded in US history when he declared war against Japan and later, Germany. We got a nice juicy target called Mexico just waiting for retribution for invading the US. What is he waiting for?

Quit your damn trolling with the Mexicans. You have a problem? Go see a therapist, but quit hijacking threads with your phobias.

Interesting source, explains a lot.

This time the source doesn't matter what matters is that he said it. Now about that stimulus money he stole from the American people.

Report gives stimulus package high marks

washingtonpost.com
The report shows that the administration has met that target, spending $551 billion of the original $787 billion. That figure includes $242 billion in tax breaks to families and businesses and $232 billion in payments to states, unemployed workers and other victims of the recession, the report says. The administration has also written $77 billion in checks for thousands of public works projects, with an additional $127 billion unspent but committed, the report says.
Administration officials also highlighted the relatively small number of complaints about contracts related to the stimulus package. An independent board established to provide oversight has received just 3,806 complaints - less than 2 percent of more than 200,000 awards. Prosecutors have initiated 424 criminal investigations, representing 0.2 percent of all awards.

Typically, 5 to 7 percent of government contracts attract complaints, Bernstein said.

Stan Soloway, president of the Professional Services Council, which represents government contractors, said the unprecedented focus on oversight clearly paid off and should be analyzed for lessons that could be applied throughout the government.

"Given the ambitious nature of the stimulus, the fact that things have gone relatively smoothly suggests that they did put appropriate and adequate resources" into program oversight, said Soloway, an early skeptic of the package. "They definitely deserve credit for that," he said.

The report, a copy of which was provided to The Washington Post, is one in a series of assessments prepared by Vice President Biden,

From your own source, Maggie. I have to question this report as to being a democrat election ploy.

Nope. Biden was the messenger, period, based on CBO's analyses AND an independent oversight commission. Read the second page.

So why did he want the stimulus?

“Government can’t replace — can’t create jobs to replace the millions that we lost in the recession, but it can create the conditions for small businesses to hire more people, through steps like tax breaks,” Obama said.

What? Obama admits government “can’t create jobs”

Newsflash!:eusa_liar:

It's usually wise to take note of the goofy websites they use to repost the "gospel truth."

Both you and obamazr are stupid he did say that.

Of course there were few complaints. It was a union payola plan for the most part. They took their money and ran. I consider coming back and asking for more a complaint though.

Just because you think it did doesn't mean Obama thinks it did. Keep playing though.

No. Instead we should rely on YOUR assessment, based of course on 'faux' data.

The data came from the white house. If Bush was in the White house you would be calling it a lie. Especially if things are as bad as they are.

Its a proven fact the main stream media is the cheer squad for the white house. And since you two do not have a job and I do I am going on my experience with how construction does in a failed economy and a thriving Reagan economy.

77 Billion for infrastructure spending which has a very spotty record btw, is a good thing?

There was no theft, they do what governments do and do poorly- they taxed, they ran a deficit they spent in an attempt to pump up the economy.

I don't think we got our moneys worth.

ad as far as;

things have gone relatively smoothly

I just don't see how he quantifies that. The weatherization prgm. is a complete balls up for instance, the cost of creating a lot of these jobs, many of which were also transient was very high. There is little sustained benefit that I can see.

Yeah, so where are the 500,000 jobs per month created? Only a complete Partisan hack does not admit the Stimulus Utterly failed to do what was advertised.

To actually address the OP. The stimulus was not meant to create jobs. It was nothing more than a grab bag for liberal spending.

Oh yes, thank you for that brilliant insight, Ollie.

Except that it did create jobs, to the tune of 1.4-3.3 Million.

Remember that job creation was not the sole purpose of the stimulus, either. Stabilizing an economy in utter free-fall wasn't a bad fringe benefit.

LOL those are "saved or created" jobs, and such things as census workers were counted to pad the number.

now they are counting Poll workers as a created job.

Nice eh.

Based on your response, I don't believe you understand what "The stimulus" actually was/is.
