make the majority of descisions about the way they live.We do alot of nit picking, and alot of arguing without listening. We pick our side and then fire favorable facts at one another, all true in our own eyes. No two views are exactly the same yet groups form and ideology is espoused. Maybe we sould stand back and ask ourselves what kind of government do we want. I want our government to do several things: 1) Protect me from enemies domestic and foriegn. a) Regulate my air, food and water quality b) Represent the total US population on a world stage c) Maintain a standing military d) Defend our borders e) Every citizen participates in the defense of their country for at least two years 2) Maintain an equal playing field for everyone a) A justice system 1. Federal enforcement of laws 2. Enforce inter-state laws 3. Decide if state law is in compliance with federal freedom laws b) Produce and supply energy to everyone at cost c) Maintain a federal emergency response plan 1. The corpse of engineers e) Gaurentee the rights and freedoms of each and every citizen 1. Freedom of expression, religion, of self and privacy 2. Flat tax to cover all expenses of this government all extra goes into a savings account 3) Provide for all citizens over the age seventy a) All health care needs provided (if need be or desired) b) All basic needs provided for (if need be or desired) c) All foreign war troops recieve life time medical care 4) State support a) Provide loans out of the savings for emergency purposes (to be voted on) b) Manage a monetary system (national currency) This is really basic stuff, there is no need for political parties. What kind of stuff do you want your government to do. If it ain't in there it ain't provided. The state level government is closer to home and should make the descisions on how they live.
