Now I know I am fairly new, but I do have a confession to make.
I voted for Bush in 2004.
Thats right, I voted for Bush. The reason I voted for Bush in 2004 was because I didn't see a clear plan for Kerry to lead this country. Now I voted for Obama in 2008 but I voted for the Republican candidate for governor in my state.
I was a moderate from 2005-early 2009. Then I began to get more into politics. I watched Fox News, MSNBC and CNN for 4-hour periods each night to understand how other parties thought.
But lately I have become a democrat. I have been this way for about a couple months mostly because of the BS of socialism when most of them don't know what it means. But I still wasn't ok with alot of the government spending.
But I remember back in 1996 when I was 11 and I watched the opening ceremony for the Atlanta Summer Olympics. I remember whenthe United States came out and how everyone was so excited and cheering for our men and women competing for our country. The Olympics and singing the national anthem at sporting events just makes me so proud to be an American.
So Obama goes to fight for his hometown and America to host the 2016 games in Chicago. And the republican elected officials and talking heads are against a great competition and against America?
Wow I will never vote republican again because if they call democrats un-american for not supporting a war that wasn't necessary but they can be against having the Olympics here and thats American? Unbelievable.
