Libertarian is a choice, no? A philosophy. I never realized being black was a philosophy.

I was merely stating that perhaps your views are unpopular because you have a "I'm right, and everyone else's opinions are irrelevant" complex.

Though really Paulie, comparing the Libertarian movement (something they choose to believe in) with being black and the civil rights movement? Are you smoking crack or what? I mean REALLY, comparing your "fight" to the civil rights movement?

Anymore I find myself "grooving" with the libertarians. It appears as the federal government expands its realm of influence corruption increases, efficiency falters, freedoms are threatened, and festering issues go unresolved. Personally, I believe our nation has a far greater chance of enduring and overcoming corruption that exists outside the sphere of our government. But when that corruption moves into the political venue to the magnitude as it appears to have done over the past 20 years, I fear the flat line.

Though I am no fan of unfettered capitalism, I fail to see how government can succeed when those in charge lack the basic underpinnings to make the right choices. Furthermore, the mechanisms to replace the unqualified exists only as an illusion. The one party system serves no interests other than creating the necessary distractions that allow them to centralize and amass power to the eventual detriment to freedom loving peoples.

Sorry Libertarians but you don't get respect from the intelligent American voter by trying to pass off Bob Barr as a Libertarian. If he's a Libertarian, I'm a hardcore Sarah Palin Republican.

Which is one of the many reasons why I despise political parties in general.

That was the Libertarian Party. Many Libertarians did not vote for Bob Barr.

And therefore didn't vote in general?

But my point basically was that you can't generalize one group like Liberals into one basket. It'd be like me sitting there generalizing all Libertarians as Child Molestor sympathizers or some bull shit like that.
