CDZ What is wrong with State Sovereignty?

Libtards are ruining CA, NY, IL NJ, MA, etc. Why should they be able to ruin the other States?

U name calling or did I miss the joke?

I would counter, what is a libtard these days? Someone who supports free trade? Its a very fluid situation.

Are you attempting to say that free trade (as opposed to captialism) is liberalism when the government is attempting to impose socialist policies on the American citizenry?

Involuntarily receiving the stuck-up rude New Orleans blacks during the hurricane and hearing about Michigan's water problems on the news showcases my Hospitality!

How else would you describe their governance?

Spoken like a kid who has fallen for Putin's tricks. Time to grow up and debate an issue.

Free trade vs tariffs, one day one is a libtard socialist view, the next day its unamerican to support the free market.

Keep cheering for the fluid views of your masters.

Free trade isn't 2016 right wing anymore, its a libtard thing unless you missed the last election

Since the mid 1990s on many issues the left and right have switched positions on a host of issues. The founders were a bit iffy on free trade, but they put the onus on foreign trade, not on the American businessman.

Today ANY pretext seems to be acceptable in the U.S. if it furthers the cause of globalist / socialist agendas.

We may disagree on some particulars but in the big sense here we agree.

I am going to attempt to never use left or right, or democrat or republican as a slur partially thanks to these beliefs being fluid. Partially because I don't follow either party's ideology perfectly.

Oh the irony...

The issue is State Sovereignty, and the relevant example I provided was how the policies of certain States would be disastrous if other states were forced to comply.

You, on the other hand, deflect to an irrelevant issue of free trade and resort to juvenile put-downs. Well done.

What is so terrifying about letting people decide these things at a more local level? The Civil Rights Act is now over 50 years old. Does anyone (other than professional race baiters) really believe that a return to Jim Crow laws would be imminent without federal hegemony?

Why do some people insist on making others comply with their own beliefs?

Great, so you're okay with a state determining how to allocate it's electoral votes based on whatever it's own legislature passes then, right?
Clearly they have that power. That does not mean one has to support them allocating it by national popular vote - just that they have the power to do so.

How does this particular whataboutism make a point rolling back this particular election law?
