When I grew up we did not have all these electronics we went out to play. We did not worry about our kids getting dirty we gave them a bath. No a days everyone is hovering over their kids who makes them wussy and in hence made this whole nation a Nanny state . No one can fart without some one blurting it out and how nasty it is. People need to grow up. Let our kids be kids. If they get hurt . Kiss their boo boos and let them go. Its outrageous to see what I see on the kids we see these days.I can remember leaving my house at the crack of dawn only to come in for a drink, something to eat .. The biggest punishment is if I was late for dinner. We knew what that time was because the street lights came on.. All we are raising scared little kids that can take a piss without their family permission.. Ok off my soap box

True kids do not spend as much time outside as my generation did.

FWIW neither do I spend as much time out of the house as I once did.

If anything I'd blame that on the DIGITAL STATE, rather than the Nanny state.
