They use it incorrectly as a means to demonize anyone who opposes political correctnes, socialism, marxism and the democratic party.

The nazi idiots have been marching in the streets for the last 50 years, the adults among us laughed at them and told them to go back to their basements, which they did when they couldn't get a rise out of anyone. Now the left wing idiots are giving them exactly what they want, attention.

If BLM gave a damn about black lives they would be in Chicago protesting gang bangers, not throwing tantrums in the streets.

The only reason the white supremacists are more visible is because left wing idiots have put them on the front page. Do you realize that in 1980 the kkk's membership was estimated at 5000. In 2016 it was estimated at 5000-8000. In that time we've added nearly 100mil people to this country, suddenly they're a threat? What a joke. It is exactly what I said, the left has nothing else to say except to jump up and down screaming racism.

All this white supremacist crap. I read an article a while back written by a black liberal sociology prof from NYU. He did a study using criteria from the UN, WHO and others. He rates the US as the 3rd least racist country on the planet.

I then tracked down an interview with him. One of the most heavily weighted stats was polling on interracial marriage. In the US in 1960 4% of Americans approved of interracial marriage, in 2010 it was 87%. In 2010 in Japan it 12, in China 6. According to him the most racist countries on the planet are asian.

Did you know that for upward mobility the US is the best country on the planet for blacks. A couple of years ago I saw stats that said black wealth and economic activity in the US would rank as the 17th largest economy on the planet. If this country was so bad none of this would be possible.

And again please explain how in a white supremacist country asians are the highest earning demographic?

Wait...wut? How did someone get "white supremacy" from "the carceral state exists to protect private property?"

Whoa...the Breitbart author has totally misrepresented the other person's tweet, which says:
good morning, the carceral state exists to protect private property and is inseparable from white supremacy https://twitter.com/MiamiPD/status/907053673011871747 …

"Seemed to imply that the defense of private property is a bad thing" and a tool of “white supremacy.” Say what? That tweet doesn't "seem" like that to me and it doesn't "seem" as though Jaffe is saying that the "carceral state" is a "tool" of "white supremacy."

What Jaffe does explicitly say is that the carceral state and white supremacy are linked. She does not incorporate (at least not in her tweet) a "tool and tool-user" relationship between the two.

Jaffe does not even imply that the carceral state or protecting private property are bad things. One's got to do a whole lot of inferring to get that meaning of the words Jaffe tweeted, and in that tweet, I see nothing on which to base the inferences that would get one credibly/soundly to the inferred conclusions the Breitbart writer arrived at.

Wouldnt that fall under the rubric of 'the pursuit of happiness' enshrined in the DoI?

I have no idea, maybe you could tweet her for an answer?

I am losing my ability to grasp the arguments used by some one the far left, assuming that they are making an argument.

I don't think Jaffe was making an argument.

    OT:
Murdoch Mysteries/ Artful Detective is one of my favorite shows. I rather like Phryne Fisher's murder mysteries too.

Already watched all of Phryne Fisher's mysteries with my wife.

We are on season 8 of Murdoch at the moment and it is hilarious!

Brackenreid's 'Bluhdy 'ell!' would make a great drinking game.

Her tweet looks to me like nothing more than a statement of opinion. At least that's all I can take it to be.

Now what I want to know is why has Breitbart seen fit to call attention to Jaffe's tweet?

Why is it that so few people these days have no facility for the time honored and highly useful art of not remarking upon banal and unsubstantiated attestations of opinion and thereby no dignifying them?

Skepticism was a drug for him. Life's vicissitudes had taught him never to be caught without it. A most useful drug, it magically invigorated his heart, transforming opprobrium into piety and ignominy into tolerance.

I would say any form of Supremacy based on race is a form of Identity Politics. The difference with normal Identity Politics is that Supremacists say "we are awesome and better than you, so the laws should favor us" and our current progressive IP followers go with "you guys suck and are fucking us over, so laws should favor us"
