What Is The Purpose Of Life ?

They say that a fool lives to eat and a wise man eats to live. But then the question remains: for what purpose does the wise man live? Living is not an end by itself. There has to be a purpose for man to live for. So what is this purpose?

Where from? Where to? And Why?

Any ignorance, however great, could be forgiven except for man to be ignorant about the secret of his existence, his aim in life and what will be his outcome after death. Some thinkers express these questions in simple words: where from? Where to? And why? Meaning: where did I come from? Where am I going? And why am I here?

What if you find a Watch in the Sand

To the Atheist and the Agnostic the Muslim says: “Suppose you find a watch in the middle of a desert. What would you conclude? Would you think that someone dropped this watch? Or would you suppose that the watch came by itself? Of course no sane person would say that the watch just happened to emerge from the sand. All the intricate working parts could not simply develop from the metals that lay buried in the earth. The watch must have a manufacturer. If a watch tells accurate time we expect the manufacturer must be intelligent. Blind chance cannot produce a working watch.

Did people always believe in a Creator?

It is a fact that throughout history and throughout the world, man had been found to worship and to believe in a Creator. Specialists in Anthropology, Civilizations and History are unanimous on this. This led one of the great historians to say: “History shows that there had been cities without palaces, without factories and without fortresses, but there has never been cities without houses of worship.” Since time immemorial, man believed that he was not created simply for this life, for this short period, and he knew that he would ultimately depart to another resting-place. We see this evidence with the early Egyptians, thousands of years ago, when they mummified their dead and built great pyramids (as graves) and even placed the treasures of the dead in their graves in addition to drinks and mummified food! From the earliest recorded history, mankind had been unanimous, with very few exceptions, that there is a Creator and that there is life after death. However, they differed about the essence of this Creator, how to worship Him and the description of the life after death. For example, Hindus believe in reincarnation and that after death one’s soul would then go into a human body or an animal, depending on whether one did good or bad in his life, and that this process would continue without end until the soul reaches perfection and unites into one with its Creator. People of other religions like Jews, Christians and Muslims also believe in life after death, but not in reincarnation like the Hindus. All three - Jews, Christians and Muslims -however have different views about what happens to the soul after one’s death.
hay guys you could resume it from this link

Atheists, I believe for the most part do not feel comfortable within the confines and radical beliefs that organized religions produce. Because man has been too ignorant to create a religion that makes sense, you cannot blame atheists for not claiming a religion. They infact may think about life/death/meaning more than most members of an organized religion.

Wow, when I clicked this thread I didn't realize that Arabian was actually a Russian novelist moonlighting on a webboard... I'm perusing your material man, will respond asap.

First, you need to cite your sources when you copy and paste material from the web. The source for the five posts that you have pasted onto the board is http://www.islam-guide.com/purpose-of-life.htm .

Second, to save server space, do not post 29 pages worth of material. Please feel free to post the subheadings, and maybe a paragraph or two below that to show the general sense of the section. For example:

Where form? Where to? And why?

Oh yeah guys
I'm happy cuz we all at the same line
You are all right these is the life from your view of point
"We should live and let the other live we don’t harm them and they don’t harm us"

But you know what there is something missing
I won't say it you will say it with your own
This life is like a course we take it in the school
We go to school every day, we take courses in it
• Does it mean if we deal well with our professors and our colleagues well?
Does it mean that we will pass the last examination?
• And when you take courses do you take the courses that have been taken from last generation or you take the latest version of it till you could be updated?
These are some question and now we all compare it with our life
The life is a course we take, we didn't come to this life with our choice and also leaving in it isn’t our choice no one know when he will die, but there is apart we could control it it’s the way how we will live in it "okay its right that we should deal good with other and hope good for them' but there is also one part we should gave to the one who create us only one
In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Sura 112. Al-Ikhlâs or At-Tauhîd
1. Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)): "He is Allâh, (the) One.[]
2. "Allâh-us-Samad ( ÇáÓíÏ ÇáÐì íÕãÏ Çáíå Ýì ÇáÍÇÌÇÊ ) (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
3. "He begets not, nor was He begotten;[]
4. "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."
We should gave him his thanx by praying and believing him and obey his order
"don’t you listen and believe in the one you love, you love him cuz he loves you, then what would you feel to the one who create you with this love you could give to the other"
so it is right you love other, but it isn’t enough, you should work hard and do our work as good as enough
our prophet say "Allah and his prophet love when some one do some job to make it as perfect as they can"
and Allah says in his book the Qur'an

sura 034. Saba'
11. Saying: "Make you perfect coats of mail, balancing well the rings of chain armour, and work you (men) righteousness. Truly, I am AllSeer of what you do."

ِsura 009. At-Taubah
105. And say (O Muhammad SAW) "Do deeds! Allâh will see your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger and the believers. And you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. Then He will inform you of what you used to do."

40. Verily, those who turn away from Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc. by attacking, distorting and denying them), are not hidden from Us. Is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do what you will. Verily! He is All-Seer of what you do (this is a severe threat to the disbelievers []).
041. Fussilat

So Allah will see our work whether it's right or wrong and reward
And as Nato AIR (the guy I respect so much) said too

meaning of life is to honor your Creator by leaving the world a better place than when you were born into it.
thanx nato

But how we will do some thing good and serve the humanity if we didn't obey our creator its like you do lots of good things but you can't obey your creator how you don’t obey him and wants him to reward you and give you a place (castle) in his paradise , its like saying ok Allah I believe that you exist but I won't obey you and i cant believe your last book the Qur'an
how its come

And this was the second question was whether you will take courses relevant to your life and will get rewarded at the other life
So you should get the latest in this field and the latest doesn’t erase the previous
No it completes it and adds to it
So we should obey Allah our creator and thank him but how we could obey him if we don’t believe him
So we should believe him its part of our faith
I do believe in our prophet Eissa peace upon him and I do also believe in our prophet Muhammad peace upon him they both Allah send them with his message and Muhammad came to complete what Eissa came with"
So the latest is the Islam so we shouldn’t believe part of what said and disbelieve the other part
sura004. An-Nisâ'
150. Verily, those who disbelieve in Allâh and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allâh and His Messengers (by believing in Allâh and disbelieving in His Messengers) saying, "We believe in some but reject others," and wish to adopt a way in between.

So if we think a little we will see that a god can't be a human cuz Allah create the human if Christians believe that Eissa is a god that mean that any human could be a god and that couldn’t be "no one have ever seen Allah only people who will enter the paradise will see him" so no one can describe him

Sura 037. As-Sâffât
159. Glorified is Allâh! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him!

I didn't say that Eissa upon him is a liar I only thinks that he didn’t say that he is the son of Allah but as I said he create him as he create the prophet Adam peace upon him the 1st creature on the earth and no one have ever said that the prophet Adam peace up on him is the son of Allah

sura 003. Aal-'Imrân
59. Verily, the likeness of 'Iesa (Jesus) before Allâh is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: "Be!" - and he was.

I just wanna say sorry cuz my late in participation but I told you my excuse
And yeah Gop thanx for your notation and am sorry I thought that as long as I write the name of the author its enough" but any way thanx I will pay attention to this point the next time"
