Start here. But remember, you get what you pay for. A cheap-o meap-o car upfront can nickel and dime and dollar you to death. A used highly rated/reliable model is another option to consider.

Kia is likely the best new car for the Money.
Seem to have a good warranty too.
I know a few people that own them and they seem pleased.
