What is it about Jesus?

Okay, tell the TRUTH, dilloduck, you know how THAT would be received

which is why I said to just move on--a time will present itself

nah

If I don't sit around and think about what fighting with people like that really is, I'd never apologize

But it is wrong and I'm sincerely sorry

and I hope everybody had as much fun at it as I did

even if I bet I don't even know half of what was said and is still being said

Are you off the hook now ?

light...people do have other belief systems....why do you think that is "hating"? do you not think people should be given the choice of what they want to believe?

Well, I shoulda added an extra category of people who are persuaded of other faiths and I respect their choices though I still believe they have made the wrong choice. But yes there are people who genuinely hate Christ.

People hate him for no reason and others realize the price he paid for us.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16
You're really fucking stupid, aren't you?

http://www.usmessageboard.com/religion-and-ethics/85079-jesus-was-not-the-messiah.html

There is only one stupid choice you can make and that is to not except God's gift to you. Someday JB I hope you will find him. You will be glad you did. After all, eternity is a loooonnnnnnnggggg time.

Your religion can't even keep its lies straight.

News flash: the authors of the Kings Canonical Library (NT as compiled by @ Nicaea) didn't know shit about the jewish scriptures. That's why they just made up prophecies that don't exist in the Torah.

See the link above

This thread got moved from General Discussion (you know General Discussion Talk about anything...none of it matters here). Or is it: General Discussion Talk about anything but Jesus...none of it matters here.. Just to prove the point of the OP.

:lol::rofl::lol:

I doubt it, I'll find out later
(sure didn't feel wrong at the time though, but then, that kind of stuff never feels wrong in the moment)

and Lightman, you know me too well

:slap:

Who is this light man?

He's this guy that always shows up just when I need him, kinda like the Lone Ranger

EXACTLY like the Lone Ranger...

and the one time he didn't, I got perma-banned forever from somewhere else

not your average, "forever", but a Marine "forever"

one never recovers from those

Here's the thing, the Jesus myth has no solid evidence to support it, so you can't expect everyone to believe in what a book written by someone says on the matter. History of that area states that the name was as common as the name John was here in America a short time ago, so it's possible that the myth was about a lot of people, and prophets at that time were also a dime a dozen. If someone wants to believe in the myth, that's fine, that's their choice, but you cannot expect anyone else to take it seriously ... at least not anymore serious than you take pentacles, candles, ghosts, ghouls, Yule trees, etc.. ;)

I won't go into detail of why that's not proof here, as I said, if you want to believe that's your choice, just remember that when you want to see a miracle, everything looks like one. ;)

There is also the same level of proof that buildings are haunted, that aliens have visited (discounting the obvious hoaxes), etc..

Kk, I think He was named the most common name for a reason. Just like He was born in a barn, one of the lowliest places there is. Everything about Him was as common as it could be because God wanted to be approachable. If He came down as a king, nobody could approach Him. And the whole entire purpose was to bridge the gap.

I know there were hundreds of claims (I'm told) to being the Messiah but none of them lined up like Christ, or healed like He did, or died and rose again like He did, and there is evidence of people that died rather than deny that He did rise again. Even His brother rejected who He was until he saw that event (I'd have to look that up though, not sure how I heard that last part)
