Just a regular American
A stereotype is an oversimplified standardized image of a group and in this case an American. An American is hard to stereotype because we are composed of all the races and nationalities of the World. The melting pot of the world. We see ourselves differently than foreigners see us but how do you see yourself or what is your definition of a stereotypical American?
My definition of a stereotypical American would be blue collar worker, a hard and conscientious worker, overweight, middle-class, patriotic, and white. We like football, fast food, cooking out, beer, trucks/SUVs and go to church. Of course I am from the heartland of America (rural Indiana) where old values still mean something.
