I just received a letter that starts:

Dear Gentleperson,

Thank you for...

WHAT THE FUCK IS GENTLEPERSON???

Is that even a word?

Good and Heavenly Christ! What ever happened to "To Whom It May Concern:"?

You're making it up.

Nope. Not in the least.

And the letter had my name and address at the top...and my name is not gender-ambiguous.

It should have said "Dear Dr. Xxxxxxx" or "Dear Sir" or "To Whom It May Concern:"

Gentleperson is just plain weahd.

It means aristocrat, blue blood, patron, noble born.
First known usage was in the early 1940s.

I'm none of those.

I would love to get an official letter sometime that says "Dear Motherfucker,"

I would redact sensitive information and then frame it!

How about "Dear NotherFukker"?

If you go back to the original use of that word, I'm pretty sure you will find a silent C just before the double K...as can be seen in my sig image.

And, yes...that would also work to tickle my fancy.

Ah yes, I see I misspelled it.

I will have to add it to my firefox dictionary so this does not happen again.

I am so embarrassed.
