How do you know both cases weren't, ultimately, injustices?

The fact that you had to ask that question implies that both cases were decided correctly. In the absence of evidence the accused has the right to be presumed innocent against unfounded charges. Thus the system worked properly. The lesson? Don't bring unfounded charges against the accused unless you know you have enough evidence to prove your case without jury nullification and appealing to emotion.

That's not the lesson. It's not the prosecutor's job to play psychic.

At least you agree that Zimmerman may have gotten away with murder.

It is also not the prosecutor's job to prosecute on the basis of political political pressure, but what he can prove. In this case Zimmerman was thrown before a jury with little to no evidence because of political pressure. This denied both Zimmerman and Trayvon justice as Zimmerman was accused without evidence, and because of that, even if evidence does turn up to prove his guilt this case can never be tried again. In the effort to "seek justice for Trayvon" both Trayvon and Zimmerman were denied justice.

Manslaughter? Not second degree murder? You know why? Because unlike Zimmerman, Scott was charged by a jury. Likewise, Scott did not need to confront the teen. he could have waited for the cops he called. He did not. He did what any American should do. Grab your gun and confront the teens as to prevent the loss of your property.

- Scott did not shoot because he suspected the kid was breaking into a car. They never broke in, one entered an unlocked car. Scott shot because the kid charged at him.

- Trayvon also knew GZ called 911 police on him before TM attacked GZ.

- N.Y. does not have SYG law & presumes shooter guilty until proven innocent. Presuming guilt is wrong & unconstitutional & Scott should never have been arrested.
