What If The Teaparty Was Black

The Tea Party is not closed to Blacks. However, Blacks, unlike Whites, tend to stick together and vote as a block. That's why there aren't Blacks in the Tea Party. Blacks seem to have a stronger sense of racial identity, solidarity, and loyalty. They tend to have less diversity within their ranks, it appears to me.

what you have to understand is this DUmbass bunch including Jillian were all here last year :lol::lol: and denying the existance of the tea party, they, including obie wan were busy :lol::lol: and generating faux headlines to say they were small in number and of no consequence.. now they've had their asses handed to them and they have to haul out their faux fabricated outrage about the "racists" in the tea party. The NAACP just needs to sit down and shut the fuck up or decry the like of Jeramiah Wright and Louis Farrakam.. otherwise I shall :lol: my ass off at em.

I like Jillian. I disagree with her on some things, but she's a decent, honorable person. I'm not a Tea Partier, but I support some of their ideas. I don't like calling people 'dumbasses'.

If the Tea Party was black, they'd be called the Malt Liquor Party and they'd field a much better basketball team than they do.

I love Jonathan Capehart.

perhaps someone reading this will see the flip side of the argument... i doubt it, but you never know.

'What if the Tea Party was Black?'
Now that the NAACP has us debating race and racism within the Tea Party movement, this is a perfect opportunity for everyone to do an honest read of an essay by Tim Wise. The official title of Wise’s piece is “Imagine: Protest, Insurgency and the Workings of White Privilege.” But it’s the more popular headline -- “What if the Tea Party was Black” -- that propelled it around the Internet back in April. That’s when I heard about it from my friend Scott Sanders, who had it forwarded to him by his pal, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison.

Matt Bai of the New York Times wrote a thought-provoking piece on Sunday about how when it’s about race, it’s probably about age, too. But race is front-and-center in the heated debate over the NAACP’s justified resolution last week calling on the Tea Party to denounce the racist elements that have glommed onto it. When it comes to some of the signs and some of the actions at some Tea Party rallies and gatherings, race colors what we’re seeing, what we’re hearing and how we’re reacting. And the movement’s legitimate concerns about deficits, spending and the size of government are obscured.

African Americans are so used to the perception gap that it’s the stuff of comedy. Chris Rock delved into the issue in his 2004 HBO special, “Never Scared.” One memorable line goes, “White people sell guns, that's all right. Black rapper *says*, "Guns," congressional hearing!” This isn’t exactly the right analogy, but remember when the rapper Ice T released the song “Cop Killer” in 1992?

PostPartisan - 'What if the Tea Party was Black?'

if the tea party was black then conservatives every where would be mocking, ridiculing and denigrating it.

no doubt there would be the inevitable accusations of "blacks don't work, blacks are all lazy, blacks are all thieves" and then the equally inevitable denials that these accusations can in any way be construed as "racist"
because the REAL racists are "democrats, liberals and blacks"

in addition I would expect some cons to delightedly discuss the possibilies of "rounding them up, deporting them" or, with a twinkle in their eyes, "running over them with tanks"....

and THAT is what would happen if the tea party were all black

If the tea party were black then white conservatives would be stepping over themselves to join them. Who wouldn't want to join a movement calling for less government interference, lower taxes, and more opportunities for small businesses, regardless of the color of people saying it? When have conservatives complained about Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, or any other Black conservative?

Oh, you mean if the tea party were black, like in ghetto rapster hip hop white liberal stereotype of black people?
I dunno. Would never happen.

When the left is unable to find anything substantial to tear into, they start making shit up and presenting weird "what if" scenarios.

I take it as a good sign.

there are blacks at the tea party, what planet do you reside on? :cuckoo:

"I traveled on the Tea Party Express tour bus as a singer/songwriter, entertainer and spokesperson; 16 states, 34 rallies in two weeks. I experienced vicious racial verbal attacks, not from the tea party protesters. The racial hate expressed against me all came from the left, people who support President Obama's radial socialist agenda.

Unfortunately, my deleted email box is littered with numerous messages expressing the following:

"You are the dumbest self hating f****** n***** I have ever seen!"

American Thinker: Black Tea Party Express Tour Team Member Experienced Racism

"Liberals' response to my YouTube videos, columns and performances on the Tea Party Express have been extremely racist, vicious and hate-filled. In their incredible arrogance, they vilify me for loving my country and not viewing myself as a victim of white America. In the sick minds of liberals, as a black man in America, I must support President Obama regardless of his policies. I must resent white America. I must feel entitled to the earnings of other Americans. My belief that my success or failure is totally in the hands of myself and my God is anathema to them."

"As to the claim that the tea party protesters are racist, they are not. Quite the opposite. At every rally, with thousands in attendance, I was overwhelmingly showered with affection and thanks for standing up for America. At one rally, a sign read, "Lloyd Marcus for President". These protesters are not racist. They are decent hard working ordinary Americans who love their country and disapprove of the radical changes planned by the Obama administration. Race is not an issue with them. They have deep concerns for their country."

What if the President helped create real permanent jobs?

*goes into dream sequence*

Naw, that's just silly.

the only people obsessed with skin color are liberals, and this thread further proves that....the only people who are racist but act like its only others, are liberals, this thread further proves that

the blatant bigotry in this thread by liberals dumbfounding, yet you all pat each on the back and pretend you have the moral highground....in nearly every instance, it is the liberal who brings up race. if someone makes a comment about obmaa, it surely must be because he is black. someone can make virtually the same comment aobut bush, thats OK, because you can bash old white guys...

what is truly fucked up about the liberals in this thread is there are in FACT black people in the tea party...this is so typical of jillian's overt racism, they must be self loathing becuase in her view, blacks must be for liberal or democratic ideals, not conservatives....

you have just shit on black people who are tea party members and you're so selfishly smug in your superiority you can't even see your blatant bigotry

Remember, if they're black and tea partiers, they're stupid, ignorant and racist.

Or in the case of blacks, they're just stupid and ignorant. Because we all know, there's no such thing as a black racist.

If they're white and tea partiers, they're stupid but at the same time fiendishly cunning, ignorant and yet capable and willing to participate in complex subversive strategies which allow them to be racist without actually doing anything racist that other people can observe. Even if they aren't acting racist NOW, given the right set of circumstances, they would show their TRUE colors.

There aren't blacks in the Tea Party? Really? Might better check that little tidbit of info before you say that again.

What unadulterated crap.

Only to you because you disagree with it. It makes good points whether you like to admit it or not.

i think it's really interesting that the same people who don't understand why the tea people come off as racist and threatening don't understand the double standard which would be applied if blacks were saying the same thing about a white president.

it would be equally racist. the difference is that everyone would acknowledge the implicit threat.

Threatening? Please elaborate...and while you're at it, can you give specific examples of things that black people would say about a white president, (which they've had 43 chances at) that would be called racist by the NAAWP...oh wait, there isn't one of those is there? Oops...but you get the idea...let's pretend that we DID have a National Associaton for the Advancement of White People. What would they call racist remarks?

Then it would be all the things they claim it is now. And you wouldn't have to twist yourself in knots to find the evidence, either.
