Now people tend to be either Deist (means God does not interfere) or agnostic (means show me first) or not even interested.

I would suspect it would depend on the what the preachers/teachers do. The Ten Commandments would become vogue. You may see some legitimate governance formed in places where it has been strictly tribal and unsustainable in the past. Muslims could stop slaughtering Muslims, Christian and others who they seem to deem non-believers. If it were realized that faith is supposed to be an individual experience between the Spirit of God and the person for themselves that would help. All mannerisms of religion could use a bit of that last bit of understanding.

The idea of the effect being more of fewer Moslems rather than more activism in Christianity is likely. The resulting lack of conflict would be tremendous, though.

Islam cannot be 'defeated' by killing any number of adherents or taking any amount of terrain. It can be subverted, convinced, converted by superior ideas, communication and seduction. That is how the mind works and how ideas propagate.
This thread was merely intended to explore what conditions would be like if this 'menace', as with the Soviet Union, suddenly and peacefully disappeared. Think of how travel, trade and politics would be transformed. Peace in the Middle East? When was the last time we saw that?

Debunking is a slow-acting poison at most. The New Testament has already been "indisputably contradicted, shown to all to be in error, and thoroughly rejected as true," by modern Biblical study. The result among the faithful has been decline in fervor and belief by traditional, middle-of--the-road Christians and a growth in the violent, anti-scientific Fundamentalist minority. A somewhat similar process is taking place in the Arab world.

This is of course all nonsense, a result of not knowing the first thing about the role theology plays in history and culture.

Re the OP, Islam is not a religion, so the basic premise of a 'conversion' is faulty, but yes, an abandonment of such a degenerate political ideology would indeed be a massive improvement, just as a wholesale abandonment of Marxism would be, and just as a wholesale rejection of Nazism would have led to a much different Europe.

Well, it wasn't all that sudden, really; they went bankrupt over Vietnam, and were toast economically by 1973; it took a couple of decades more to fade. In any case, Russia has always been expansionist, Marxism didn't change that feature of Russian culture one iota, and they still are, and probably always will be, regardless of what ideology they adopt domestically. Leopards don't change their spots, and I'm sure the same applies to Arab culture as well.

The middle east violence would end. The violence around the world would take a nose dive......every other religion in the world gets along pretty well....the lone problem is islam....
