What happens if the Black Lives Matter protests invade someone else's "Safe Space"?

A young angry black man beat a 75-year-old white man unconscious in Greenwich Village as a black woman stood as a lookout, police say. No items were reported stolen from the victim and the attack appears to be a racially motivated hate crime.
police are searching for the two black people who attacked him.

The victim was in front of a building on West 14th Street Wednesday when a man punched him in the back of his head and then knocked him to the ground. The man then kicked him in the face, knocking him out, police said. A woman stood by as a lookout as the beating took place.
Police said it doesn't appear the suspects robbed the man and no words were exchanged.

He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital with a cut to his head and was listed in stable condition.
