What happened to the Hopey, Changey, Transparent government Obama promised?

No, I think you're missing the point.

This is not a DC corruption issue. It's a business issue. People, regardless of the political position they hold, or the party they belong to, are entitled to fair compensation for property, or the use thereof, by the government.

If the prevailing history showed that this was not typically done, then I'd have expected Biden to follow that 'tradition' and allow the use of the property gratis. However, if the prevailing history showed that this was typically done, then I'd have expected Biden to follow that 'tradition' and charget the going rate for the use of the property.

In either case, it has nothing to do with the operational end of the government. THAT, is where the whole transparency thing got it's ass kicked by this administration.

Sorry, transparency goes far beyond "operational end of the government". If Barack Hussein is out having flaming homosexual sex with men from China, that technically has nothing to do with "government operations". That's his personal business - right? However, that creates tremendous risk to our national security should someone tape an ecounter or collect other evidence that could be used to blackmail the President of the United States.

The transparency he promised and ending "business as usual" is an all encompassing philosophy and goes far beyond the strict "operational end of the government". Pork/Ear Marks were perfectly acceptable "operational ends of the government", but everyone realized they were flat out wrong and that's why he campaigned on ending them (even though he didn't). And everyone knows it's flat out wrong that a man who advocates Socialism/Marxism is charging the US government money for the Secret Service agents who are protecting him and his family. He should be damn thankful they are there and happy to provide them with his stupid little cottage. Especially for a party who keeps screaming that the wealthy among us need to sacrifice for our government.

You're barking up the wrong tree on this Rott.

Why is Biden NOT entitled to fair and just compensation for the use of his property?

I have a freaking boatload of other stuff I'm pissed about from this administration. This is a pimple on a fleas ass, as far as I am concerned.

Well I agree that are more signifcant issues, but I think all issues regarding their lies and hypocrisy should be examined.

Why shouldn't Biden be compensated for the use of his property? Because he and his party have been crying like little children about the Tea Party, claiming that we all need "shared sacrifice" and that the wealthy can afford to pay more. So all I'm asking is, where is the "shared sacrifice" by the uber wealthy Biden? He doesn't need the money and the government is broke. Why doesn't he step up like he and his hypocritical party advocate and remove that burden of cost from our government? Especially when that cost comes from protecting him and his family.

Another liberal trying to redirect the conversation. Why are you avoiding the issue? Obama promised change. Transparency. Said that it would not be "business as usual" in Washington. This is the definition of "business as usual in Washington".

I'm not a liberal, per se; and you're not a conservative - you're a troll.

You are a liberal and an ironic one at that....

Not on all issues, and not within the meaning of liberal as defined by conservatives. Of course you're not a conservative, you're simply a modern court jester who hangs around and parrots whatever you think will give you the most attention.

Why haven't the radical Republicans, i.e. the Tea Party members of Congress refused government provided healthcare and served in the House or Senate without compensation? Or realistically, why do they take pay when they are on recess? Why haven't they authored bills suspending pay when the House is not in session?

Just admit you're a troll and a hypocrite - that way admitting the obvious at least gives you some semblance of honesty.

Do you think I care what a troll like you thinks of me?

So what did happen to the Hopey Changey Transparent 0bama Administration?

No, you're NOT asking 'where is the shared sacrifice'. You're whining because the VP is afforded the same rights to just compensation for the use of his property that you are, and you don't like it. You think 'Biden is rich, he can afford it'. 'He doesn't need the money'.

How then are you any different from the liberals who think the rich should pay even more taxes than they do now, just because THEY don't think the rich are taxed enough? They think, 'That guy is rich, he can afford it'... 'he doesn't need the money'.

You are complaining with the exact same attitude you oppose!

Today’s shining example of how Barack Obama pulled one over the eyes of the idiot liberals and the naive independents with his "Hopey, Changey, Transparency" speeches comes to you from the Vice President himself!

Biden collects rent from Secret Service - $2,200 a month for cottage use

The U.S. Secret Service does more than protect Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — the agency also pays him rent.

Since April, Mr. Biden has collected more than $13,000 from the agency charged with protecting him and his family for use of a rental cottage adjacent to the waterfront home he owns in a Wilmington, Del., suburb.

Mr. Biden, listed not as vice president in federal purchasing documents but as a “vendor,” is eligible for up to $66,000 by the time the government contract expires in the fall of 2013, the records show.

“He should be afforded every single protection available to him and his family, as should every vice president and president,” said Leslie Paige, spokeswoman for the Washington-based Citizens Against Government Waste.

“But this arrangement seems bizarre to me,” she added. “You’d think the vice president, who shepherded the deficit committee, would think twice about charging the Secret Service rent. Why would he need the money? I don’t get it.”

Wait a second - don't the Dumbocrats believe that "the rich among us can afford to pay a little bit more"??? Shouldn't the very wealth Joe Biden be willing to give up is rental property for the good of the goverment? Hasn't that been what Barack Hussein and him have been preaching during their "we need to steal more money from hard working Americans" raise the taxes tour?

Ohhhhh - that's right! I forgot - Dumbocrats believe in hoarding wealth for themselves, but everyone else has to "sacrifice" for the "good" of all. More evidence that the Dumbocrat Party is just the party of hypocrisy.

Socialism is for the people, not the Socialist....

So Joe Biden is taking TAXPAYER dollars for rent--so that the secret service can protect his ass. UN FREAKIN BELIEVABLE! What was that statement Biden said?

"This is one big freakin deal?"--:clap2:

I didn't think Rott would comment on his own hypocrisy.

Good dog.
