No, I think you're missing the point.
This is not a DC corruption issue. It's a business issue. People, regardless of the political position they hold, or the party they belong to, are entitled to fair compensation for property, or the use thereof, by the government.
If the prevailing history showed that this was not typically done, then I'd have expected Biden to follow that 'tradition' and allow the use of the property gratis. However, if the prevailing history showed that this was typically done, then I'd have expected Biden to follow that 'tradition' and charget the going rate for the use of the property.
In either case, it has nothing to do with the operational end of the government. THAT, is where the whole transparency thing got it's ass kicked by this administration.
Sorry, transparency goes far beyond "operational end of the government". If Barack Hussein is out having flaming homosexual sex with men from China, that technically has nothing to do with "government operations". That's his personal business - right? However, that creates tremendous risk to our national security should someone tape an ecounter or collect other evidence that could be used to blackmail the President of the United States.
The transparency he promised and ending "business as usual" is an all encompassing philosophy and goes far beyond the strict "operational end of the government". Pork/Ear Marks were perfectly acceptable "operational ends of the government", but everyone realized they were flat out wrong and that's why he campaigned on ending them (even though he didn't). And everyone knows it's flat out wrong that a man who advocates Socialism/Marxism is charging the US government money for the Secret Service agents who are protecting him and his family. He should be damn thankful they are there and happy to provide them with his stupid little cottage. Especially for a party who keeps screaming that the wealthy among us need to sacrifice for our government.
You're barking up the wrong tree on this Rott.
Why is Biden NOT entitled to fair and just compensation for the use of his property?
I have a freaking boatload of other stuff I'm pissed about from this administration. This is a pimple on a fleas ass, as far as I am concerned.
Well I agree that are more signifcant issues, but I think all issues regarding their lies and hypocrisy should be examined.
Why shouldn't Biden be compensated for the use of his property? Because he and his party have been crying like little children about the Tea Party, claiming that we all need "shared sacrifice" and that the wealthy can afford to pay more. So all I'm asking is, where is the "shared sacrifice" by the uber wealthy Biden? He doesn't need the money and the government is broke. Why doesn't he step up like he and his hypocritical party advocate and remove that burden of cost from our government? Especially when that cost comes from protecting him and his family.
