Maybe Al Gore had some insider info on what was going on in the good ole USSR that the rest of the 'Warmers' weren't privy to when he decided to sell his stake in 'Current TV' to the Islamists in his Liberal/Progressive version of "Take the money and run"

Some dandy snow totals on display there. Whenever a Russian plane crashes anywhere the first thing that usually runs through an Air Force pilots mind is the question of whether the Russkies "Opened the vodka cabinet too soon" , noting the whiskey bottle tucked into the snow drift in anticipation of the necessary "Pause that refreshes."

I doubt a possible warming trend in Earth's atmosphere is related to humanities green house gas emissions since technological civilization produces only a small fraction of such gasses and the vast majority are created naturally; any possible warming trend is most likely related to the sun.

But have you heard of global dimming? Air pollution combines with clouds which makes them much more reflective which diverts the heat from the sun back out into space and which could lead to a cooling trend, there is a lot of evidence to support that.

It is scary to stop and really think about the harmful impact human civilization really is having on the planet. Not just in the present but in the coming decades and centuries.

First, a 40% increase in CO2 does not represent a small fraction. Second, there is also the 250% increase in CH4. Third, the Total Solar Irradiance has been down a bit for the last decade or so, and we have had several strong La Nina's, and only two moderate El Nino's. The last decade should have seen major cooling when you also factor in the aerosols being emitted by India and China.

As for the extremes, both of cold and heat, here is a scientific explanaton from a leading scientist;
