One that basically protects personal rights/property rights, enforces contracts and is as non interventionist as possible here and abroad with everything but those few things in Article One Section Eight being left to as local a government as possible with Austrian free market principles ruling the day.

I also want a real SEC that prohibits short-sellers from stealing investments. We need government to keep Wall Street honest and to keep jobs here. Without SS & Medicare we'd have a real mess. So the government should regulate but not control, i.e keep the crooks from fucking everything up all the time (Madoff, Enron, Lehman, etc. come to mind)

A socialist society in which there is strong emphasis on modern history, government and politics beginning at First Grade education level will be a good start. The failure of our existing educational system, which is the fault of permissive Liberal policies, is responsible for dumbing down the American population to the point where raving nitwits and screwballs, e.g., the "Tea Party," are taken seriously.

How long can we survive as the divided nation we've become? There is an appreciable percentage of our voting-age citizens who actually believe George W. Bush was a good President.

If none of the options above apply to you, feel free to post, IN GENERAL, the type of society you would prefer to live in if you could choose.

I would like to be the warden of this all woman prison

Thanks for the offer, happy to oblige.

I think the framwork for 'self' government established by some brave and smart men in the late 18th Century provides the foundation for the society in which I would like to live. The founding documents of our Republic, the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution, are so simple, and yet so profound, is incredible.
Though the ideas were not new, the manner in which they were galvanized into a system of governance, able to survive for over two centuries is awe inspriing.

If only men of good will and even temperment were elected to office and given to providing fair and equal treatment to all of our citizens, we Americans would would enjoy a utopia.

Sadly, few men and women of good will and even temperment run for elected office, and when elected fewer still represent anyone but themselves. Their lust for power, control and wealth is the greatest threat to our nation. So, the one change I would make is to ensure any office holder or candidate for office who accepts a bribe no matter how they frame it should be removed from office and provided a one-way ticket to any nation which will take them. If none will, all rights of citizenship would be denied them and their name be inscribed on a wall of infamy.

Being on the wall of infamy would show courage against the progressive liberal dogs! (Or just substitute whomever you blame here).

Or at least that is one way it would be spun by the corporate media.

Freedom fighters!
Where is the Beef?

In short, it is my opinion that unless money is run out of politics, politics will destroy or nation.

I'd like to live in a society where people would stop caring so much about things that don't matter.

so...you want people to be told what matters in their life and not to choose what matters...so im sure theres an option up there that describes it right?

Oh, this reminds me...

...I'd also like to live in a world where assholes didn't put words in my mouth.
